Protest at Swansea Match

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Torn between whether there should still be a protest or not :?

On one hand the transfer window has not been a success imo but at the same time I would think showing a good welcome and positive atmosphere for mertesacker, santos and arteta is important too.

I certainly dont feel that a protest should be shelved on the basis of our limited transfer windown activities :x

"Its not about making money money money
We keep paying more money money money
We just wanna make the league dance
Stop haggling over price tags"

Can we get thousands singing JessieJ against Swansea

It needs a clear message. I don't think calling for Wenger would be helpful, but certainly a protest against the board is much needed, and wouldn't take away from the signings.

I seriously think the club needs Dein back and fast.

Haven't seen a close up of the picture but I think the BSM poster with 'Forward?' on it should have had Wenger's quotes about losing Cesc and Nasri at the top of it and then perhaps the word 'Really?'.

I think it would be an awful idea to carry on! 2nd home game, start of a really new team all to be greeted with a protest? Look the windows shut, why don't we just get behind them, sing aloud and not jump the gun! If it's still not working by all means have another go, but I feel it is the wrong move to make now, as the window is shut so fuck all that can be done and will be forgotten about by Jan anyway. Let's just give the new recruits a warm welcome, and get our first 3 points of the season! :barscarf: :barscarf:

Very, Very difficult to get support for a protest following the activity in the transfer market. AW has bought himself some time. Next milestone is January.

You could now question the 6% price increase given the net transfer profit.

I am still holding onto my money until the problems are fixed.

i agree give it till January, when the window re-opens - at least give Mertesacker, Santos, Benyoun, Areteta and Park a chance

This won't get much support, approve of them or not but 9 players have come in with more flops going which is what we all wanted.

A protest now when a new team runs out will just look like a load of eager football manager wannabe's.

You need to give it time to fail.

Sing 'spend some fuckin money' they will reply 'we just spent 50'

They didn't go for the "watching mediocrity and paying top whack for the privilege" (or something along those lines...) in the end? That's maybe safer!
Still, well done to the BSM!

And is that on Hornsey Rd?
