Seriously, I really hate Balotelli. I'd really like to punch him in that miserable looking gob. Anything that demonstrates that you can't just come in and buy the league, cheers me up. And yes understand the irony of supporting the Chavs there. :D
You mean Wilkins orgasm about Chelsea mate! He had to pretty much apologise towards the end of the game because I reckon he had removed his trousers by the time Lumpalard scored that pen.

I'm with you on Balotelli. I absolutely despise him. Watching Mancini have to bark at him is laughable.
No I don't. For the first 25 mins he was talking about City as if they were the new Barcelona. He was "surprisingly" critical of the Chavs.

THE LEAGUE STARTS AT 1ST. THERE IS ALSO 2ND PLACE & 3RD PLACE.

THEY ACTUALLY ARE ABOVE THE MECCA THAT IS KNOWN AS 4TH.

Red Member: "our biggest rivals are Chelsea" - They must be, definitely, because Tottenham have cemented 3rd. They often finish above us & if they are 2 points ahead of us in the 2nd week of December & still have to come here, it must be all over.

Maybe for those minutes then mate but surely you heard his "apology" after Lampard scored?

I did hear it but in my op I was explaining why I started supporting the Chavs and "Butch" was a major factor.

FFS some of you lot on this forum love misery for company.

The Arsenal team of today has come on so far from the early season debacles. Im really happy with the way the team are performing and by God the results are going are way. We are the form team of the league (22 points in their last eight games than any other Premier League side)and we are mostly winning things one game at a time. So what the fuck is their to moan about right now? Nothing exactly.

If the usual February collapse happens again then lets get the pitchforks out, but I just cant fathom or have time for people who make comments like there is nil chance of this team winning the league or you need to get your head checked if you think arsenal can win the league. Why do you bother supporting Arsenal if that’s what you think?

total superfan bollocks

I've heard that shit from louder and co. So REAL fans think we can win the league then? talk about delusion.....

If you support the club, your a supporter. Its not about thinking we can win the league , at the beginning of the season we were all agreed we'd bite someone's hand off for fourth. I think comments like yours are going to haunt you later in the season , when we are starting to struggle again.

I'm pleased with our current form, but do you have to be so fickle? :?

for the past 2 months on here I have been the optimistic one on here saying that we could get in the top 4 this season when everybody else appeared to doubt that. I was even called a WUM for saying that.

but not even I would go as far to say that we have any chance of winning the league this season.
Even if we beat City on Sunday (and that is very unlikely)there is still no chance of that happening because we just don't have the resources that Chelsea or City have, we currently have no fit full backs and the Fulham game showed us what happens when RVP doesn't score.

Ive been very careful not to make an outright statement that we will win the league, but rather I said we are winning one game at a time by hook or crook and confounding all the doubters & MOTD, and I think this team has something different to offer with regards to going the distance.

So my point was, why cant we go all the way? which is an entirely point to making an outright statement that we will win the league.

I also stated it gets my goat when people are super negative when you start to look at the glass half full. I just dont get it as what is their to be unhappy about at the moment with regards to the on pitch performances.

The great shame is that it is within the club's resources to ensure that we do finish 4th. We have the basis of a decent team and we're having a reasonable run. Despite the dross that was served up in August and early September, we are a couple of points behind the Chavs and still have to play them at home, as well as the Scummers.

The club can easily afford to spend 50m in January. That isn't a number that I've just reached for from some shit www.talkwankabouttransfers.com forum or a tabloid. Read the accounts - look at the debt reduction, look at the amount of interest cover that is currently being generated and the cash at bank figure. That cash is earning 2%.

If we signed Benzema and Goetze that would be the best part, if not all, of the 50m gone, but my god would that make a huge difference come the end of season run-in.

But we'll play prudent and keep crossing our fingers that RvP won't get crocked and that all of the injured players (Sagna, Gibbs, Wilshere etc) come straight back to form and don't suffer any more problems. That isn't being a doom-monger, its a reasonable expectation based on his past record and the number of intense games that need to be played between now and May.

We are somehow still in this top four race - lets make damned sure we don't throw it away for the sake of two new players. I couldn't give a flying fuck if it means Chamakh and Park don't get a sniff of the first team, and neither should the manager. Does Ferguson lose sleep over Michael Owen being a benchwarmer ?

OK, but saying that doesn't work? what if they are just shit? what if they get injured? We don't have another 50M to throw at replacements at the drop of a hat like other teams.

I want quality players as much as the next fan but to think we must gamble away everything in the hope it pays off is criminal. Fans will be super quick to knock the club for wasting money should it not work.

The club doesn't have money IMO. It's not like they are going to come out and tell everyone that though.

Fickle? what the fuck are you on about, I think you need to look up its definition matey.

You open by calling me a superfan and end by calling me fickle. Which one is it? You've totally contradicted yourself in the space of 2 paragraphs.

All im saying is that we are on a totally amazing sequence of results which none of us predicted in September and if you extrapolate the graph we will be there or there abouts come May. In reality will this happen? probably not, but lets just see is all im saying, and lets be a bit more positive if we can. Its like this forum has turned to pure poison against you if you somehow dare to believe.

I just get a definite vibe from a lot of you here that its almost like you want us to spectacularly lose a game so you all turn around and tell everyone how you were so right and this team isnt good enough for 5th or better. Its almost like your disappointed that were doing so well.

get a grip and watch some arsenal DVD's or something to remember the good times.

Read the accounts, as I say. If a football club consistently generates free cash flow then what do you suggest it does with the money? Buys some more apartments. The core business of a football club is surely to create a successful playing staff. Its like being a succesful property company making money out of one development, but then never re-investing it.

The management of the club are paid to deliver success. Good managers get it right with player choices more often than not, otherwise they get fired. Simple

Please tell me what you would do with over 50m of free cash in the bank - leave it there just in case any player we could ever sign turned out to be a dud. Sorry but I don't understand that logic at all

Read the accounts where?

How long does the club have left to pay off the stadium? you don't think we've got much money tied up in that?

You mentioned spending 50M on two players. If by what you are saying is that we only have 50M then it's certainly not the best idea to blow all of your money and have nothing in reserve - another injury elsewhere in the squad and you are fucked again. That was my point.
