Newcastle game

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Sorry but Feo was good tonight and the Ox was pretty average. Doesn't excuse the sub though.

For me the only negative of tonight was that :censored: coming on for the ox.
Why is there so much flak for Gervinho on this forum? He's been a good, consistent player this season. He's a shite finisher but at least he runs at players, takes them on, gets into the box and has good movement. He's exactly the sort of player we were missing last season. Gervinho is far ahead of Walcott. He's a better winger and is much more consistent.

Arteta was absolutely bollocks today but seems to not get any criticism. I really don't understand some people's obsession with Gervinho. He has been an excellent signing.

Theo is frustrating at times, but you can't deny he played a huge part in our win. Ox was average, as Chippy said. Would Ox have been better on the right? - who knows.

Great result, mixed performance. Next stop Goodison! 8)

Resident Plastic;

Gervinho gets stick because he couldn't finish a book. That and his stupid haircut.

Arsenal and stupid haircuts could be another thread though on its own........

I'm getting increasingly worried about Tommy. The longer his run of good form continues, the more questions people will start asking. Before you know it, the FA will smell a (Columbian) rat and they'll be round the training ground asking for a urine sample. Given his age, it could be the last we see of our friend Tomas 'Escobar' Rosicky.

With so many positive performances the fans may expect too much from AO-C too early. We all know he's capable so I don't mind him having an off game. Should be expecting more from Gervinho. Theo had a fantastic game.

I'm a very happy chap tonight. :barscarf:

another bad and unisnpired performance from the team huh? Rosicky was the only midfielder today, Song and Arteta were completely :censored: Ox was average, but i quite like to see how he tries to be close to the action at all times instead of glueing himself to the left flank.
Gervinho has to learn how to finish, it's embarrasing.
Vermaelen... gotta love the man, ran the pitch just to arrive at the perfect time.

Very happy with today. Rosicky fab again. Walcott 1 of best games I have seen him have. Vermaelan showing the 100% passion and dedication that he always does when we need to get a winner.
