Midweek games

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Are you backing the campaign to have him banned now?

Not at all - its still good fun having him around - he's a harmless fool really and lightens the mood. There's a simple way of addressing Red's posts - point him back towards his earlier ones. As seen above it normally ends with him changing his statement again.

Anyway, I reckon at the end of the season we're due another poll :D

There can be no excuses if we finish behind Newcastle and/or the scum and drop out of the CL due to the Chavs winning it. There is no bad luck involved there, just incompetence.

Everyone would expect us to beat Norwich at home and possibly West Brom away but as we all know we don't know which Arsenal will turn up.

Big point is Newcastle are flying and i can see them getting a result against City, Spurs seem to be back on track while we are on a 3 game winless run after playing such heavy weights as Wigan and Stoke and Chelsea Reserves. It is very possible that we will drop points in our final 2 games and although it is in our hands i'm very concerened we are about to be beaten to 3rd spot by one of those two.

In which case, in footballing terms it will be a fucking disaster!!

Newcastle are the red herring they always have been.
assuming we beat Norwich they have to win both of their final games to get in the top 4.

1) They play Man City who are going for the TITLE
2) They are away at Everton who are one of the form teams right now

cant really see it can you?

It's a sad day when people are concerned that we cannot beat Norwich and WBA to get Champions league. Relax - we are The Aresenal and we should be expecting to beat them.
If we don't then the Board, manager & players deserve the flak that will come with it  :box:
Its sad indeed. However, I expected us to beat Wigan and Wolves at home. I expected us to beat Blackburn away when Kean couldn't buy a point and we shipped 4 goals to them. I expected us to beat Bolton and QPR away.

That is my point. This Arsenal side can not be relied upon to beat anyone these days. The season should have been put to bed with victory at home to Wigan. Instead we have reverted to serving up the sort of dross that we did around the turn of the year and in January when we struggled to beat anyone. I honestly feel like watching the team for these past 3 games has been as mind numbing as the 1-1 with Wolves, 1-2 to Fulham, 1-0 QPR, 1-0 Leeds period around that time - tired, dull predictable football.

The momentum was lost against Wigan and I don't see that the available players are capable of getting it back in time. My hope is that Norwich really don't show up on Saturday following their previous 3 defeats and we limp over the line with a scrappy old 1-0, 2-1 type result. If we go to WBA needing to win to be certain of finishing third, I'm practically certain that we won't see the job through
For all the concerns about getting 6 points I would rather be in our position that the Spuds. The swamp dwellers are having the same worries that they will slip up. The barcodes are the only ones who look confident and that is because they are overacheiving. The pressure is on us and the Spuds and Arry will be twitching like the back end of a Capri if they are drawing with 10 mins left in either of their games.
My simple view is if we get Champions league place then we deserve it - If we don't those guilty deserve all the s##t that is coming their way

yes if we dont finish in the top 4 I will admit that I have been wrong.
I have stated since I joined here that we will finish in the top 4 and deserve all the criticism and abuse if we dont.

same goes for Wenger. as I stated on another thread he should resign if we dont finish in the top 4.

Just messing around :D

No harm intended - just playing to a theme as I did with Herd, which resulted in him posting that picture of the Stone Island jacket. I'll buy you a beer when we're watching the Channel 5 Cup matches on a Thursday night. Red knows an exclusive bar that sells lager in the stadium :D
