3-0 - Gervinho hat-trick

Re: The showdown v the Baggies
So let's seeeee....
ManYoo had their biggest game of the season last week. An epic titld decider against Citeh, bring watched the world over.
Chelski, rubbish as they've been this season, have a Champions League final to look forward to against mighty Munich in a week.
Liverpool, shite as they are, had an FA Cup final as their massive game to look forward to last week.
Meanwhile down at AWFC, our biggest game of the season?
Well. After Norwich at home, it is now away to disinterested WBA .
Hilarious yet pathetic.

Tottenham?
Re: The showdown v the Baggies
This WBA game is an accident waiting to happen. I still think we'll make third, courtesy of the other two failing.
Re: The showdown v the Baggies
No trophy is up for grabs
We'll be fine, I can sense it in the air.

Maximum respect to the boys travelling up there to support the team. I'm sure you'll do us proud like you normally do in away games
I just hope for you guys, and the rest of us, that you don't have to endure that total fucking loser Fabianski going through his circus act. If he is playing I really fear the worst. I can honestly say that he's the only Arsenal player I've ever hated while he's actually been at the club - sad but true.
Bring back the 3rd placed trophy gents

Well I agree armchair. If we limp to 5th place then I sincerely hope that Lord Wenger of Patronisingshire gets it both barrels.armchair supporter wrote:Bring back Wengers head on a plate.SteveO 35 wrote:Maximum respect to the boys travelling up there to support the team. Of course if we win the 3rd placed trophy it will be a loud chorus of "There's only one Arsene Wenger"

Re: The showdown v the Baggies
Really looking forward to the day out. Haven't really contemplated the game and how it will go. It used to be the case that if we got an early goal we settled down and saw the game out as the other team had to chase. Nowadays an early goal seems to encourage teams to have a go at us as we inevitably take our foot off the gas straight after. In some ways I think our best chance will be fighting back from an early deficit. We seem to react like that these days. In an ideal world we win 3 nil. We know it won't happen though.
COME ON YOU ARSENAL!!!

Re: The showdown v the Baggies
We'll lose, spuds will draw and cartoon army will win. Bayern will win CL and we will have to play a qualifying round to get into the CL next season which we will most likely fuck up.

Re: The showdown v the Baggies
RvP sets a 38-game season record with a hat trick against WBA, giving Arsenal 3 points, a 3rd place finish, and RvP 33 goals in the EPL this season (top scorer and new record holder).
Well, at least that is what I'm wishing for!

Re: The showdown v the Baggies
It'll be true. He is the only manager to constantly keep us on the edge of our seats for no trophy and knowing that securing a CL place really means nothing but more money for the club that doesn't get spent improving it. And yet, we all care!SteveO 35 wrote:Well I agree armchair. Not qualifying would be the best thing thats happened to this club in years. In fact I'd like to win the "trophy" for not qualifying. It'd be more valuable in the long term than the "4th place trophy"
Qualifying = More of the same shit.....
Not qualifying = kick up the arse wake-up call thats required at the club.
Wenger would not have the moral bullshit line about achieving CL place every year to fall back on. I do believe serious questions would be asked. There'd have to be post mortems on the shittiest season in Wengers tenure. (And thats true even if we DO qualify).
So I'm looking forward to Sunday with very mixed emotions. Obviously I want to see us win every match but theres also a bigger picture to look at. I dont want more of the same. I'm tired now, fed up. Change is desperately needed. I think not qualifying will bring that change much closer. So fcuk the CL and the gold coins it brings but are never spent on improving us.
Sad I know but I cant change how I feel. I'm at the end of my rope now.......
