As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
I love the thought of the North London derby, but I don't think I enjoy actually being there, but then I haven't missed once since 1994 ( I think) - that year they were developing WHL, and we only got about 800 tickets.
1-1 draw, Parlour scored with a mssive deflection to equalise ; Watched it at a screening from the East Upper back at Highbury.
I Hate what has happened to Our Bloved Game (and club!) - What do they think we are going to do and say..'ohhh okaaaay we won't call each other *word censored* and throw missiles at the scum at every opportunity...and fill balloons with piss and drop them ono the *word censored*!?....
The same game last season turned our season around from being the disaster it looke dlike being and destroyed the scums season - they went on a 8 game no win streak I think!?
So WE HAVE TO WIN THIS FUCKER!...NO EXCUSES WENKER...
Arsène Wenger has revealed the following team news ahead of the Tottenham game:
on team news...
Of course we have long-term injuries like Rosicky (tendon), Diaby (thigh) and Gibbs (thigh) who are not back at the moment. All the others have little knocks and those decisions will be made on Friday.
on those 'others'...
Szczesny (ankle), Walcott (muscle), Chamberlain (hip) - they all have a chance to be in the squad. Walcott came off against Fulham and will have a test tomorrow [Friday]. So will Szczesny.
on Sagna...
He has a test tomorrow [Friday]. It is just for general fatigue. He's played three games quickly but before that he didn't play for six months.
on Gervinho...
He is still out [with an ankle problem]. He has a chance to be fit for next week.
I'd be a lot more confident about Jenkinson starting than a year ago but Bale is by far their biggest threat and Sagna has done an excellent job of nullifying him in the past, so why the fuck did he start in Schalke and against Fulham when it was obvious that he would be struggling for tomorrow? Didn't even travel with France during the week so if he misses out tomorrow through fatigue then it's fucking piss-poor management.
Not sure whether it is because it was so good last season so can't be repeated, but just can't get up for the game tomorrow.... I'll be there so guess the excitement will build, but at the moment I'd be very tempted if the wife asked me to go shopping with her !
My apathy though isn't because I think we'll lose. To be honest I don't think Spurs are up to much either. Can see this being a high scoring draw.....so get your money on 0-0!
