Has the post match interview been on yet - what did the old fool have to say? Just wondering which of the stock excuses he'll use this time.

I imagine he'll say we were jaded and lacked sharpness, and when asked "why was that" he'll bumble around and not answer.

you're gonna get games like this. Saints defended well and stifled our midfield. Plus some of ours had very poor games.

But then at times like this you need your manager to change things. Change the shape, motivate. What did Wenger do? He actually weakened us, slowed us down. Kept the same shape.
Bringing Ramsey on for Santi while Rosicky is on the bench is criminal. Bringing on Gervinho at all ever is just really, well .....I dont know? Its inexplicable. Nobody can tell me Gervinho should be anywhere near the Premier League never mind the Arsenal.

All three subs slowed us down - Ramsey and Giroud have no pace. Gervinho is just shit, passes back, sideways, gives the ball away, falls over. Just like Arseshavin used to. FFS.

Incredible. Like I said you are always going to be in games like this but how many points has Wenger cost us with fucking crazy substitutions like this compared to good managers like Ferguson, Jose who are reknowned for their tactical subs and changing the teams shape, game etc....

Apparently Sky haven't tracked him down yet - they can't find him!

That's the real present Arsenal. A bunch of overpaid talentless mugs. Anyone that thought we had turned the corner after the performance against Newcastle is kidding themselves. The more we lose, is the better and hopefully will hasten the shipping out of these mugs. If not people will have toconsider voting with their wallets. Used to get excited and be confident, but every time this teams walks onto the pitch I nearly shit myself. That team is a total disgrace. No defence, no creativity, no bottle, no leadership but full of spineless blood sucking wimps. Where is the real Arsenal football club gone.

That was awful, only the result makes it better than Norwich...only Gervinho played to his normal standard  Sagna was as bad on Saturday as today. For one who has been touted as the best right back in the Premier League he was unbelievably poor. Arsene has just asked "did we underestimate Southampton?" fuck sake you are the manager you answer that.

Wenger: "We were not very good offensively. We didn't create enough chances."

Wenger: "Did we underestimate Southampton? I hope not."

Wenger: "Collectively we didn't produce enough. Walcott didn't get enough service which made it difficult for him upfront"
Yawn. Wake me up when he's gone.

as i said on another thread - newcastle let us play, gave us time and space which other teams don't.

any teams press us and we fall apart cos the team is not coached to combat that with quick movement and passing.

its the manager kids, these are obviously talented players in the starting eleven, but they're not given tactics and a system to play in.

i would bet money that they are just told to express themself rather than practising moves, which is why its so disjointed - the runs are not co-ordinated, the moves not rehearsed in training.

i think a decent manager (even benitez) would have this group of players second right now - city, chavs and the spuds are no better than us man for man except perhaps yaya...

shit manager.

Sure enough, first answer is that we lacked sharpness and then when asked why he immediately replied "I don't know" before vaguely speculating. So fucking predictable.
