If they turn up and go for the win I'm sure it'll be a good game and I'd peg them as favourites. But if they turn up and play negatively like they have every year then it'll probably be a shit game and I fancy us to win.

And under Inspector Clueless we are so good at giving teams a 'helping hand' look at Norwich/Southampton/WBA/Wigan et al...Once upon a time other teams genuinely feared us...now!???....pffffffffmcdowell42 wrote:City haven't beat us in the league at home since 1975 so when I see a stat like tht then there is only 1 way this will turn out, city to win.

Depends on IF (yes, that oh so little but hugely important word) IF we turn up..collectively as a team we can turn the *word censored* over.......BournemouthRED wrote:Can't call this one, sort of feel like we might do ok.

Isn't typical of us to play like champions in games like this then slip back into mediocre turd the week after!?OneBardGooner wrote:Depends on IF (yes, that oh so little but hugely important word) IF we turn up..collectively as a team we can turn the *word censored* over.......BournemouthRED wrote:Can't call this one, sort of feel like we might do ok.

But if they turn up and play negatively like they have every year then it'll probably be a shit game and I fancy us to win.I didn't mean it in THAT (so obvious) way, but in the tactics he employs....they came before and parked the proverbial bus....also we deserved 3 points against them at theirs.......so as I said... If IF manure lose - There will be more of an attacking 'mood' about the team...But if Manure win (which is the more likely result) then they will play a more balanced game...simples

Second-guessing how they'll go into the game is difficult though. I remember season before last (0-0), the point was completely useless for them in the race for 4th place with Spurs but they showed absolutely zero ambition to go and win the game. Likewise last year, a point would still have left them 7 behind and needing United to drop points in two games anyway, yet they still set up for a draw. They ultimately won the league last year because they took the game to United twice and hammered them both times, just like they won the FA Cup the year before because they played attacking football against them in the semis. It's clearly their strength, I cannot fathom why Mancini persistently regresses into this ridiculously defensive mindset.

City are always negative when they come to the bowl. 0-0 looks a good bet to me

1975 was last time they beat us in the league at our place,as far as i know they havent scored against us at home in the league since 2007,so yeah the law of averages suggest both those stats will be reversed today. We are unable to defend cos its not the wenger way to bother about defence,so it will be 4-5-1 ramsey out wide, subs made at 70min onwards no matter what the score is,and i reckon 1 of our guys to get sent off, mike dean is the ref and as far as i know we have a dismal record when hes in charge(but im open to be corrected)
So to sum up im going for us to win
