I think Wiltord has largely been forgotten by fans who rightfully remember the likes of Ljungberg and Pires, but he was a big player for us. Deserves a mention just for that goal at OT :barscarf:
indeed he does but heres a fact make of it what you will
in his 173 games for arsenal wiltord scored 13 goals in the last 20 mins
in theo walcotts last 150 arsenal games he has scored 15 goals in the last 20 mins

I remain a game v the shammers a few years ago and I was sitting in the north bank (it was fcuking freezing  ) and Wiltord was shit (1st touch of a rapist  ) but still walked away with the match ball after scoring a hat-trick - if ever a game summed up Wiltord it was that one :rubchin:
it was chilly mate and believe it or not it was 12 years to the day yesterday
just had a little refresher.
it came on the back of our 6-1 defeat at old trafford
ps tell a lie it was 3rd of march
no it is still more unseasonably cold now

Can you remind me of these dubious refereeing decisions in the following games:

Arsenal 1-1 Aston Villa (March 1, 2008)

Wigan 0-0 Arsenal (March 9, 2008)

Arsenal 1-1 Middlesbrough (March 15, 2008)

Chelsea 2-1 Arsenal (March 23, 2008)

Arsenal 1-1 Liverpool (April 5, 2008)

Manchester United 2-1 Arsenal (April 13, 2008)

I can't seem to remember what they were, that's all. Although I assume the dodgy decisions in the game at OT were nothing to do with Adebayor punching the ball into the net for us?
in the boro home game aliadiare was offside when he scored and adebayor had a goal ruled out for offside when he recieved the pass from boros boatang.
this would have kept us 2 points clear at the top
however i do believe the excuse culture that has sprung up since that day at birmingham
has been very damaging
seeing our captain sitting on the pitch crying when there was a possible penalty miss to defend was disgusting
take the paint off the walls but don,t show a weakness on the pitch
he should have been stripped of captaincy
we should have wiped our mouth and said we took an away point on a difficult day.
we were still in the box seat and even went to old trafford with a chance to win and possibly go on and win the league.
the whole message from the club was 1 of white flag waving.
i still believe wenger gives the players a get out with complaining about tiredness, poor pitches, refereeing, 4th a trophy
fa /league/europa don,t matter. it matters to us as supporters it should matter to them.
its unfair to call the last 8 years failure but failing to adress defensive issues for 5 years is 1 of the reasons why i believe wenger is a good 18 months past his sell by date

Gallas wanted to be as far away as possible from the ref
actually cosy us nothing him waiting on halfway, if he'd gone mental at the ref and suffered a long ban
than that would be given as a reason...

Ref knew Greedybarndoor received the ball from a tackle, I saw him see it.
Wenger pretty much issued a tin hat conspiracy theory warning that season
Strange the press never jumped all over it IMO

Anyone remember in the Birmingham game when we were 2-1 up and Adebayor went through one on one with the keeper and just had to square the ball to Bendtner for a tap in but put it wide?

I guess he was in on it too eh? Nothing whatsoever to do with Wenger putting two players on the pitch who fucking hated each other at the same time.
