That is a corker, a real onlinegooner classic :barscarf:
As I said before, welcome back Captain Intelligent! The bloke posts the most braindead opinions on this site. 'Knee-Jerk Reaction'? Stoopid reaction!
we won...we are the third best team in the league and wenger and the board are saying they are going to spend big in the summer, as we have now won 8 out of 10, we can clearly see wenger is actually a quality manager, we can afford to be a bit smug right now.

A terrible performance and our clown of a manager will use these recent results as reason for not spending big this summer. We played for 80 mins v 10 men FFS

Giroud please will Gooners stop defending him.If he played for any other premiership team you would be calling him what he is a pile of shit.As others have said if he had been sent off in the first minute we wouldnt have missed him.One fucking away goal in the league

Walcott i said at the time he shouldnt have been given a new contract.Nothing has changed my opinion

"We had a positive first half but in the second half we became sloppy with our passing and played with less pace to our game. You have to give Fulham credit; they are a good side and they played very well. It became hard in the second half. We played with the handbrake on and tried to keep the lead without taking risks. We didn't give them enough problems. We lost pace and quality."

Just back from the game. A win's a win I guess but fucking hell... Poor, poor, poor. Which team had 10 men for 80 minutes?! Lack of leadership, ideas, creativity, passion, desire. Our game these days essentially consists of 95% sideways passing, played at a pedestrian pace with all opposition camped along their 18 yard box. We don't have the skills, knowledge or ideas to prise them open & any goals we do score (not many at the minute) come mainly as a result of kinda hit & hope balls or waiting for them to make a mistake. And we have a manager who can't see or implement the changes in our game necessary to bring back the speed, pace & incision we used to have.

Giroud, dear or dear. Yet another toilet performance, totally anonymous. At least we won't have to suffer him for 3 games now, is that right?

I think the opposite. Everything aside, his goals tally ain't bad - IMO people (on here especially) would be asking WHY Wenger didn't sign him. We had people saying we should sign Darren Bent FFS.

Honestly can't understand how people don't rate Giroud, it wasn't a red card. We just switched off after first half should have been a lot more

Are you really going to defend Giroud's goalscoring and then say "but we could have signed Darren Bent". If you're just going to talk about goalscoring then look at Bent's last 4 seasons or so - his strike rate is miles better than Giroud's despite playing for relegation-threatened clubs. Not saying for a minute we should have signed him but don't defend Giroud because he scores a few goals then slag off Bent.

I'm sick of people saying it's unfair to compare him to van Persie, Henry and even Wright. Yes, he was never going to be as good as those, and that might not be his fault, but when people are trying to justify his place in the team and the squad then it makes perfect sense to compare him to our lead strikers of the past two decades.

And 11 goals in 33 games as the striker of a team playing 4-5-1 (therefore less creative responsibility on him) isn't good enough either imo, first season or not. Despite often being benched or injured and being generally shit since he got his new contract, Feo has managed to net 11 times in the league. To be joint-14th top scorer having played nearly every game for a team in 3rd position is not a good return, and his paltry 4 assists hardly provide good background reading.

The stats that he's been defended on are really not that good.
