Chavs at home

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Absolutely no way this game is going ahead, IMO.

They've already said that the trains coming in from my way (Stansted Express) will be running at reduced speeds

This is going to be a joke

Yep, they're rolling out 'Operation Denilson' tonight.

I see what you're getting at, but many, many games due to be live on Sky have been postponed over the years.

I not expecting us to beat the chavs or anything but I will be gutted if the game doesnt go ahead :( I know that it is easier for me to say that when I am living in Ireland and have no concept of how bad the weather is, but tonight was the start of xmas for me as the gradual work wind down was began with the big game

going ahead as of 5 mins ago http://www1.skysports.com/football/news ... ad-weather

Will be won by the side that wants it more and isn't phased by bad weather. I've just been out and it's the gusts that are awful. The rain is just heavy rain, pretty normal rubbish for this time of year. Not a lot of fun for keepers!

Horrible night out there...but can't see a televised game being called off just because of wind and heavy rain. And the care Arsenal take over the pitch fairly much guarantees that it won't be waterlogged...

Never known such a mentally pivottal game as this one... Win and we're top of the table again, with a couple of very winnable games to come (excluding Newcastle!). Lose and we drop to 4th and start to feel Spuds bad breath on our necks...

With this weather though, difficult to see it ending 0-0...

The problem is more around the transport links rather than the conditions on the pitch. If thousands of people are going to struggle getting there and getting home they might have to do something.

Seriously, the gusts are really strong now. The game will be all the worse for it

I don't "do" category A games for reasons I'm sure I don't need to explain, but if I was going tonight I'd definitely want it called off just because of the difficulty transport wise

I just cant see us winning this one. Mourinho already knows what Wenger will do in advance, as he has no game plan at all, expect professor clueless to fiddle with his jacket, and complain to the fourth official as we are outplayed and lose 2-0 :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:
