Anyone see the post game interview with le cock ? He was asked if this was sanchez's best performance and he responded by saying that it was except for when they scored their goal Clearly the suggestion (earlier today) that he isn't happy with sanchez's use of possession, must have some truth to it and I am stunned that he would comment on sanchez like that

to be fair, Keown thought the same clearly and he's not known for his hyperbole.
radio did say that Danny Boy did make all three goals himself. which apart from RvP i think maybe only walcott against the chavs did that (no i'm not including Nasri or Cesc, they are AM's, they are supposed too...)
Interesting to hear Merson at the end saying that he thinks that Ospina will challenge Chesney this year. He also said that he was concerned by Chesney's lack of concentration - I agree with this. I think that there was no reason for him to go rushing out like he did. All he needed to do was to come out and make himself big - if they scored - big deal. The game was effectively over.
I have to say, I like Ospina. He seems a solid keeper and even thought to throw the ball out when he thought that he might hit the goal post with his dive - he's a smart keeper and I would expect him to oust Chesney this season.
Also very impressed with Welbecks movement and strength. We all knew that he was quick, but I didn't realize how strong he was.
I would like to see Wenger start with the same squad against Chelsea. Maybe bring in Jack for Cazorla, but if Santi keeps his spot, I would be happy too as he had a good game (minus his giveaway which ended up a penalty seconds later).
A great performance from Welbeck and the hat-trick should help to boost his confidence.
Even if we lose against Chelsea, if Welbeck can score in that game it'll do him (and us) the world of good.
Gave the game a swerve and checked Beeb text commentary to he\r all the Welbz praise, was he really that good or were Gala that sh*te and WTF happened to Ches.
Oh well at least Arsene is well on his way to securing 2nd place in the group
Glad Welbeck got the goals for his confidence but still expect us to get a good old fashion spit roasting on Sunday afternoon.

Not like you to pounce negatively on something Wenger says.

Yeah tonight beat RVP's hat-trick at the Bridge.Grow up
The positive I take from tonight's Welbeck performance was the calmness of his finishing.
My previous knock against him was that he was fast and strong and got into good positions but then would lose his edge and scuff a shot.
But his composure in front of goal was very encouraging.
True, he had space and time, and other teams will deny him those, but the old Boxing adage says that you can only beat what's put in front of you.

RVP's goals weren't as impressive as Welbeck's tonight.
Think it's you needs to do the growing up since you have an inability to accept other opinions without needing to resort to spiteful and patronizing remarks.
^ Doesn't matter if Welbeck's goals were of higher quality, Van Persie did it away from home, on a bigger stage, against a better team.
In any case, I don't know how you can say Welbeck's performance tonight eclipsed anything RVP did in his entire career for us - don't you remember how phenomenal he was in 11/12? Single handedly got us 4th spot.
RVP was world class and put in many spellbinding performances during his 8 years here.
