First of all - a cracking game, played at the sort of pace you don't get anywhere else with 2 teams going at each other for 90 minutes (sadly the reason most English teams don't stand a chance in the Be All and End All either)

Thought we played some really good stuff, especially in the first 30 mins of the second half and fantastic to see Alexis back in top form. Wally showed that in games where the other team are confident enough to push high up the field, he is always going to work better than Le Lampost.

The downside would be the defending in the first 20, and last 15 minutes, where it looked like they would score at every opportunity. Bellerin was getting zero cover from Ramsey in the opening spell and it didn't surprise me when they scored from that side and almost went 2-0 up before we scored.

The Giant Snail produced a couple of decent saves near the end but thought he looked lost in the avalanche in the first half.

But.....we're 4th !

Maybe he isn't,t used to the coaching of Gerry Peyton.

Tbh for 2 ND goal I thought he didn't see it as the BFG was standing directly in front of him blocking his view.

Great performance yesterday, thought Sanchez was excellent and Walcott pretty much nailed down his place as starting striker, although Wenger will want any excuse to throw his pet project on in future games. The downside of yesterday is that with the entire league looking mediocre this season, we could easily have won the league this season, but Wenger's lack of activity in the transfer window has fucked us again.

He took one chance in 8 yesterday. You cant keep missing chances he does against better opposition.A world class striker would have at least 8 league goals so far this season the chances we have created and missed so far

Fuck me augie. He has never played behind such a poor back 4.Leicester could have scored 5 easily yesterday. We are so fucking open at the back.Bellerin got roasted in the first half and i'm sorry to say Mert is finished

A point that I made when he signed for us back in the summer - he has spent years playing behind a great back 4 and a defensively minded chav team so it has been a bit easier to look good, where as now he is playing behind a poor defensive and a team that has no defensive shape and is "trained" (and I use the word loosely) to attack at will

Also the more I look at it, the more I am worried by the total lack of team celebration with giroud after he scored - there could be genuine reasons of course, but if a mentally weak team starts some inhouse arguments, then we are totally fcuked

Absolutely, another missed opportunity to take the title same as when Man Utd and Chelsea changed manager's and would need time to kick on we did little to push ourselves to the top of the pile.
4th or 3rd is plenty good enough :banghead:

I used to like the hes got no name song for Kos

The Alexis one is definately camp.

Great game though, fair play to the lads, would Vardy be a good signing for us? Still very unconvinced by Wally, we are so short up front its almost as embarrassing as our DM cover
