And can we just all agree that Bellerin and Monreal might be the best RB/LB combo in the world OTHER than Bayern's. Bellerin is fucking world class.
I'll agree with you on that !

Brilliant! brilliant! brilliant! Great performance by the team. Still bottom of the group but that was a marker for the season. :barscarf:

well done bellerin. was brilliant watching him muscle in for the second goal

problem is, the frustrating feeling that tonight could all be for nothing. we must do something at the allianz arena. olympiakos winning has fucked this up for us tonight :censored:

That feeling of real pride is rare these days but it was back in bucketfuls tonight! Bellerin, Monreal, Cazorla were all extra special tonight. Also, the confidence it breeds should now be carried forward. Great night

At this point I'd be shocked if Bellerin and Monreal werent starting for Spain in the Euro's.

Was really enjoying the game only for TV3 to fcuking freeze up and I missed the last 20 minutes of the game   Any of the other Irish lads suffer the same problem ?

Cant comment on his contribution for ozil's goal, but other than that I am amazed that so many of you are bigging up bellerin's performance tonight   Costa absolutely tore him a new one (especially in the first half) and make him look like the inexperienced kid that he is - I absolutely believe that he is gonna be a top player for us (if we keep barca away from him  ) but nights like tonight should serve as a reminder to us that he is still inexperienced and not top drawer yet, and should be allowed to develop without any unrealistic expectations

As for green/inexperienced players, did anyone notice how easily coquelin was by-passed tonight ? No doubt that he was up against some top quality midfielders, but he isn't at that level and should be the back up DM to a top quality DM

Have to say that I was surprised by BFG's performance tonight - of late his lack of pace has really started to catch up on him (that yellow on Saturday was woeful  ), but tonight (especially in the first 20 minutes) his positioning and interceptions were crucial.

Overall I have to say that I really enjoyed the game (at least the first 70 minutes of it  ) - it was great to see two big clubs go head to head without any of the cagey bullshit that is so common nowadays 8)

Btw does the other result help or hinder us ? :?

What a bloody brilliant display.....yeah we got a bit lucky when Alexis handballed it, and my god if it was a boxing match it would have been stopped after 30 mins BUT......we beat the best side in Europe (the best side by a street I would say)

Nacho Monreal and young Hector Bellerin deserve special praise tonight - young Hector playing against the best wide player I've seen for many a moon, and having the energy to set up that goal in the 93rd minute....amazing

Well done to Cech too - I've slaughtered him at times but his decision making was spot on. I would have expected him to have saved most of what he did but there's no doubt he was a calming influence and judged everything to perfection tonight.....definitely a case of his experience shining through

Fantastic job - there won't be many sides shutting out Bayern home or away this season

Strange game to watch. Dominated by Bayern but we did it :o unbelievable 8)

Defensively superb performance. Cech, Monreal, Koscielny, Mertesacker and Bellerin, take a bow 8)

Midfield were dominated though   - you can say it was tactics that we sat back, but we lost it every time we tried to pass the ball. Dreadful pass completion rate I'd imagine. But who cares :barscarf:

Games like tonight suit Mertesacker perfectly. His positioning and reading of the game is good so when we sit back and deny teams space his lack of pace isn't exposed and BFG usually looks superb.

Delighted for him.

Bellerin was outstanding again.

We played very well this evening against one of Europe's top sides.
