Ozil is playing at a consistently high level right now. No coincidence that we are stringing together results when he does this well.

Coq played well, as did both CBs (best partnership we have). Monreal solid again other than 1 slack pass. Ox was bad, but he was the only one that was poor. Thought Giroud was the man of the match, played really well. Strong hold up play.

Giroud was exceptional, Ozil was pretty masterful, CBs were excellent. Sanchez still looks a bit fatigued and Ox was dreadful mind.

Played so much better with Ozil in the middle in place of Ramsey.
O I know, some of the passes he was making - That ball he played for Giroud's goal.... He make's it look so easy...

Time for some Beers! :barscarf:
Ox gives Ozil one thing Ramsey doesn't, space in the middle, i've said it before the problem with Ramsey is that because he isn't a natural wide player he always wants to come back inside which cuts down the available space for the other central attackers and makes things far to tight across the box.
Agreed. Can't play people CMs out wide and expect us to have shape - having genuine wide men on either side creates a lot more room in the middle

Thought we were better than a 2-1 win and certainly better than the Sky commentator described it. It was a good solid performance , I know we were hanging on (maybe ) at times in the second half but we should have killed the game before then. Giroud was outstanding as was Ozil, Coq was impressive as was Gabriel..loved the clenched fist after his tackle near the end, surely he and Kos are our pairing at centre back. Ox was poor, he did have a few decent runs but overall lacks confidence. He needs a good run in the team and a goal or two. He tried a ridiculous shot when Bellerin was free on his right that led directly to their goal.
We have the players to challenge for the title , (well an addition or two in January would help) but have we the mentality ?

Agreed, but we need the Ox to step up as he was poor again. Weirdly, he seems to have a knack of being involved with a disproportionate number of goals that we concede - I'm not saying Everton's goal was his fault, but it keeps happening :rubchin:

Giroud was superb. Possibly the best he's been since he joined the club as far as winning aerial balls and holding up the ball. Pleased for him.

Ozil was awesome and most others played well too.

2-1 was the least we deserved but credit to Cech and co. for keeping it from being a hugely frustrating draw.

Top of the league :D

Oh, and I'm liking Gabriel the more I see him 8)

Surprise you to know that this is the first win that they have had as our starting centre backs ?

Have to say that barkley is one of the most over-rated footballers around at the mo - yes there are times that he will do something special, but a lot of the time his use of the ball/ball retention is very poor, and I would also question his bottle and work ethic.
Martinez is a manager that I like but I have to say that, from the outside looking in, it is hard to comprehend what he is doing there - having already had piennar and osman to play on the wings, last season he bought mcgeady and this season he has added lennon and delafeou (sp  ) and he appears that he is accumulating wingers like GG used to do with centre backs

Correct on both count methinks 8) :barscarf: :barscarf:

I know many will disagree but i'll be interested when Welbz is fit again because as much as he is poor as a forward he is actually quite good both as a wide player but more importantly tracking back and helping out defensively, both Ox and Ramsey will have to step up their game if he shows any form when finally fit again.

This means this injury period for Ramsey is extremely important in terms of make or break for Ox i reckon! :rubchin:

Fuck Welbeck. Was the 4th best striker at United and now struggling to be our 4th best winger. Players like that don't win you shit.

Oh Oxlade so sloppy and un-tidy.

Versus Monaco,WH,Dynamo and Everton culpable for their goals.

Previously AW didn't trust him till the 70th minute..

He needs a proper coaching regime.

I think he's trying too hard to impress. Like today if he was a regular in the team - he def would have slipped Bellerin in, instead of going for the glory. His chances are limited so he probably feels he may do something or he won't get another chance for a while. FFS he only got in today coz a central midfielder with no pace has been playing in his position until he got injured.

I love his directness when he gets the ball but he needs to learn not to be direct when coming out of our box coz he cost us a few goals not drilling his foot through the ball into row Z.

He has the Euros coming up aswell next year and if he ain't playing for us he could be fugged - so another reason why I feel he is trying too hard.

That's what I was thinkin' but still had 6 defenders to the 1 toffee, should have covered him easy. Felt we controlled it but was worried right up till the end they'd pinch it, as they almost did !. Walcott starting in the other games seems to have done the trick with the Frenchman. He looks twice the player he was earlier in the year. Happy Dayz. :barscarf: :barscarf:
