He's the captain and the BGV is vice captain - What a joke. Its as if someone said to Clouseau lets see if you can treat the armband with more disdain than you already have

Giving arteta a new deal made far, far more sense than giving a new contract to rosicky who has done nothing to deserve a new deal - say what you like about arteta but he wanted to play for us so much that he took a pay cut to join us, and then he gave us a few years of good service (of course he was played out of position by le c.unt  ). Contrast that to rosicky who hasn't given us ONE good season since he joined :x
Rosicky has fuckall to do with Arteta being garbage. I couldnt give a fiddlers fuck if Arteta wants go play for free. He shouldnt be anywhere near an Arsenal shirt. Didnt I hear you say sentimentality shouldnt enter into it? So he gave a couple goodish seasons. Ok. So what? His time is long up. :|

I agree that arteta's best days are behind him (think garbage is a bit too strong though) and I don't think that he should have got a new deal either, but my point is that, on a list of wenker's contract fcuk ups, arteta's new deal would be well down the list imo.
No time for sentiment, he is past it, his tackling is slow, he will give away free kicks like the one today that got them level, he will inevitably cost points

Teams like WBA and stoke live for these set pieces, they don't have the craft or flair in open play, they are all set to take advantage when its given on a plate

Neither should have got contracts. But two wrongs don't make a right. When Rosicky is fit every once in a blue moon he does do things and is a good option to have whereas Arteta is just a liability IMO.

Agreed on Arteta's first few seasons he was excellent but on that premise the manager of the decade also was great in the first half of his tenure and I know u of all people would not try justifying his contract extensions based on that

Just seen comments from claude

"at the end of the day if you keep the money in the bank you don't win titles"

Also the case of WBA players getting away with hassling Cazorla before his spot kick, why were they not pushed away....No leaders

Both comments i agree with

If we played that second half another ten times, we would have won the game ten times. As always with us, though, it's on the day that matters and we don't ever do enough or have that killer instinct. It all comes from the manager, his tactics, attitude and failure to buy the required players. If we had a decent striker on that pitch, we would have scored three times in the second half. But, there's nobody out there who can strengthen us :banghead:

Both Arteta and Rosicky should not have been given new contracts .There is no good reason why Arteta is still at the club his legs have been gone for 3 years. He has two speeds dead slow and stop and he is the fucking club captain :banghead:

If we were to believe all ur twitter rumours we'd be after winning 10-0 today with all the players we had signed

2 months is perfect for Arsehole. It means he won't have to buy in January coz Coq "Is very close to a return" And then the inevitable setback in training after the window closes.

Can any of u techy guys sort out a groundhog smilie

Credit to Le Fraud. There's not another team in any other sport in the world that could bring on their captain and completely weaken their team. Arteta as captain is the mirror image of L'Asshole - a washed up has been.

I'm just looking for an update from a few pages back - Is he still proving us wrong?
