Oh, hang on - is it "Why is bang average (on a good day) striker still first choice lone striker in a shit 4-5-1 system? " :rubchin:

Thusly, I'm hypothesising it is because our manager has gone (to quote the technical term) "bat shit insane".

There you go, mate - answered.

Just the thought of a striker who has just come off a 15 game scoreless run making demands is ludicrous.
i am sure Lord Clueless will indulge him and massage his ego by telling him how he was the scourge of the worse defence in the league on Sunday.
Any manager with an ounce of backbone would tell him to get out and spend his spare time through the next 2 months practising his finishing, and studying the offside law, and if he wants to play more for the club prove it by being better than any potential new arrival.
The root of the problems here are players who think their place in the team isnt under any threat no matter how badly they play.

'Despite a dip in form since the turn of the year, Giroud had his best season in the Premier League in terms of goalscoring – finding the net 16 times over the campaign.'

:bowing21: And there was me slating him because I thought he had gone missing just when we needed him the
most. All hail king olly. :banghead:

He is lazy shot of piss! Any half decent striker will net 20+ goals given the number of games giroud gets he can be excelkent in some games but too often looks disinterested and lazy

They don't just think that they know - Ramsey, Giroud, seem to play regardless of form, or how they are performing.

why the fuck should he bother same as Wally Chamberlain and the rest they pick up 100K a week WTF.....no one is demanding more or motivating them...of course they just take it easy...thats human nature
indeed Wenger just gives them time off when they under perform.....fucking great more time in which you can spend all that money!!!

Get another manager in there to knock these fuckers into shape and see what happens

Few other managers would allow players like Giroud, Walcott ect to take 6 figure salaries, yet offer back very little. Wenger is a doormat. Sure the players say they 'love him' ect, but wouldnt you if you found an easy employer who overpays you. If I had a boss who paid well above the going rate for the job I did, whilst letting me piss about, he would be one of the most important people in my world. Id defend him to the hilt, and make sure nothing happens to him, as it could effect by easy money.

But what did the fans sing his name on the weekend? We really dont do ourselves any favours.

does anybody else think he wouldn't have been crowbarred back into the team so desperately if there wasn't a major tournament this summer?

I'm not normally one for believing in some of the more creative reasons people suggest for some of Wenger's decision-making, but I really do think that after we were out of the title race Wenger insisted on giving Giroud games to improve his Euros prospects.

Tbh that sounds ridiculous.

If it were any other manager.

As it's Wenger, I would not be surprised at all if that was the case. :|
