sums it up nicely.goonertux wrote: ↑Sat Mar 19, 2022 4:05 pmWhat did we learn from a hard earned win?
Mainly, Peepee is just brain-dead - end of.
Leno can still do a job. Nketiah is Championship level at best, we still need a 20-goal striker, oh and Clive will always be a c*nt.
But a win’s a win, so fair play.
Come on Boro and the Shammers!

Mings was also guilty of fouling to stop play time and time again. And that neanderthal McGuinn gets away with blue murder every time I've seen him play.
The Reffing is incompetent in 90% of the games I have sen this season.
Stuart Atwell (remember him from the city game?) should never ref again, so what do they do have him run VAR. You've got mike(Me Me Me it's all about Me!) Riley doing whatever the fuck he wants and if he doesn't like the player or the team he books them for what he says is Descent.
VAR is in the hands of Fools who do not understand the game and needs at bleast to be put on hold till they know what they are doing (get in some ex-players) and only then have VAR as a witness to uncertain incidents and decisions.

Agree with above, actually enjoy watching games now, some of the play is tremendous ....think i will even venture out to the Southampton gamegoonersid wrote: ↑Sat Mar 19, 2022 4:10 pmHuge win.
Arteta definitely appears to be making progress.
Given our small squad, we've definitely taken advantage of not having the distraction of cup football.
A top 4 finish would be a successful season, particularly at the expense of sperz and the mancs.
Arteta is no doubt still learning on the job, but as long as he is learning, then that's fine by me.
Hopefully he can bring in 5 or 6 signings in the summer and offload the remaining deadwood.
Then hopefully look like a comfortable top 4 team next season.

While I agree that Cash should have been one of at least 4 villa players that should have been booked for continuous cynical fouling I don't think Clive's booking was for a foul. I think he got it for arguing with the ref and pushing oppo players while the game was stopped. For stupidity so.mcdowell42 wrote: ↑Sat Mar 19, 2022 4:39 pmXhaka 1 foul today yellow card

It still frustrates and angers me that even when we scrap and fight to get a tough enough win, we have idiots like Clive and Peepee that jeopardise everything through childlike stupidity.

you better not have facking jinxed it!!
thats was a character test and pleasantly surprised. well done. still a heart attack following us...checking bbc score on phone when at seaside. If only we had a striker of the name.
come on west ham do u a massive favor tomorrow please but i expect nothing given you went ot extra time, at least snap kanes leg maybe?
Tough tests ahead, and not an easy run in, but its in our hands and we really should manage it.
Despite maintaining Ramsdale has dropped off and letting it go to his head, crucial hes not out for long, as Leno passing out is scary.

Maybe he was, but tbh I do not recall Clive persistently fouling. I don't recall him doing much of anything!mcdowell42 wrote: ↑Sat Mar 19, 2022 7:03 pmDB ,Xhaka was booked for persistent fouling according to the one of the football stat sites .DB10GOONER wrote: ↑Sat Mar 19, 2022 6:56 pmWhile I agree that Cash should have been one of at least 4 villa players that should have been booked for continuous cynical fouling I don't think Clive's booking was for a foul. When the ref booked him he was arguing with a villa twat and pushed him. Looked like the ref was saying "that's one, two, three times you've been acting like a complete cùnt there, Clive... here's a booking".
Yep I can lipread.

Big shout out to Bernd Leno.
The bloke was a decent keeper when we bought him then Kroenke Inc decided to sell Martinez and bought the Icelandic paper wrists and turned him into an arrogant, complacent cock for a year or so. Bought Ramsdale and now when the fella plays he's back to the keeper he was. Its called competition for places....something that senile old c.unt neglected for years

Xhaka was booked because he was Xhaka and he pushed back . As always the retaliation got punished.
I doubt that Xhaka warranted three fouls he was anonymous throughout.

Another shout out to Partey. A completely different player to the one last season and earlier this season.
Paired with a player like Teliemansor similar next season we could have a belting central midfield!

Brilliant 3 points
Late kick off last Sunday, then played a seriously good side midweek before being slotted in for an early kick off Saturday morning with the hope/expectation that we’d get beat or at the very least drop points but we held firm and took all 3 much to all the other c.unts disappointment.
Delighted and the usual fuckwits moaning coz we celebrated at full time make it all the sweeter. That’s 5 away wins on the bounce now which is a great run to be on.
Xhaka being booked for an accumulation of fouls despite it being his first offence was even more evidence of the clear bias against us the refs but fuck the lot of em we’ll win in spite of the cheating fucks.
Pepe and Eddie were diabolical when they came on, Pepe especially was a walking calamity and was Villas best player in the last 10 mins, both need to be binned off in the summer.
Partey was brutally honest when he rated his Arsenal career at 4 out of 10 earlier in the season but ever since his been superb, 8 or 9 out of 10 every single week now, worthy MOTM yesterday and great to see him delivering the performances we all hoped to see when we signed him.
Goals (lack of) are obviously this team’s biggest issue but if Saka, Martinelli, ESR, Odegaard and Laca can keep chipping in on rotation with the odd one every other game and the defence keep up their excellent form (I fucking love our defence these days by the way - how much of an improvement in that department have we seen over the last few seasons? That was our 13th clean sheet in the league yesterday- superb stuff) then we’ll hopefully finish the season on a high.
Come on ta fuckkkkkkkk
