Aurier will probably be commanding a 15m fee by the time the tournament finishes, so There's Only One Dithering Halfwit at that point will declare it a 'dizzying price' and make Jenkinson play 50 games next season

A new right back isn't coming

Last night i was impressed by Balotelli's performance upfront on his own against England. That's precisely the role he'd get at AFC if he comes. You could see him fitting in talent wise not to mention price wise if the mooted £20m tag is accurate but it would be a huge risk based on his bipolar, narcissistic personality. AW is known for not tolerating disharmony but mad Mario isn't even capable of being subbed off without storming down the tunnel most of the time. However I'd be happy to see us spend £20 on him and £8m on Remy. Along with Giroud and Sanogo (if he's not loaned out) we'd have four quite different strikers and numbers in the squad. Remy has done well in England and is a non-risk steal at that price, we might even get him for £7m if we pay in a white envelope.

yep campbell looked good, but isnt a striker. also uruguay looked dire.

but this performance will give wenger and his cult excuses not to sign the strikers we need.

Balotelli has said he doesn't celebrate goals because it is his job, he asks does a postman celebrate delivering a letter ?. Our own Postman Yaya would/should celebrate getting anything on target.

Can't wait to see Balotelli and Benzema play together next season.

He is a striker. He was playing as a lone striker for Costa Rica the other night.

Arsenal captain Thomas Vermaelen has agreed a deal in principle to join Manchester United this summer.
United must now agree a fee with Arsenal after the World Cup, but Vermaelen hopes to move to Old Trafford and is preparing to leave the Emirates.
Central defender Vermaelen only has one year remaining on his Arsenal contract and has found himself pushed out of manager Arsene Wenger’s first-choice team by Laurent Koscielny and Per Mertesacker.
New United manager Louis van Gaal is desperate to strengthen United’s defence and believes Vermaelen can find his best form under him.
The 28-year-old has been at Arsenal for five years after signing from Dutch club Ajax. He got off to a superb start with the Gunners, but injuries curtailed his progress.
Vermaelen earns around £70,000-a-week and it is understood he has verbally agreed a deal with United that would see him pocket around £100,000-a-week.
Arsenal cannot expect to receive more than £10million for Vermaelen with only a year remaining on his contract.
Vermaelen is currently with the Belgium squad in Brazil for the World Cup, but wants his future sorted out as quickly as possible once the tournament ends.
He shares the same agent as Robin van Persie and that is understood to have been key to United’s interest.
Arsenal have been preparing for the possible departure of Vermaelen by lining up a number of defensive targets including Steven Caulker and Virgil van Dijk.
Although Vermaelen is not a first-team starter for Arsenal any more, his departure to United would be another blow for Wenger after losing Bacary Sagna to Manchester City.

Arsenal could be set to miss out on Alvaro Morata after Wolfsburg submitted a £15.9m offer for Real Madrid's 21-year-old striker.

Real want £25-30million for their young bench warmer or £17million and if he does well you sell him back for £10-12million,on those terms, I'd tell them to step lively.
