Saka walking after the game, with what seems like discomfort but he’s walking unaided, which is plus. Could be a tweak in the muscle.

Arsenal have a lot to answer for tbh.
We have a great chance of winning the league this season, they need to be 'suggesting' to players that they sit out some of the lesser internationals. I understand if it's a world cup match but the fucking Johnstone paint nations league trophy ffs, it's a piss take competition.
Maybe the management tried but players like Saka and Rice said they wanted to play? We'll never know but things can't go on like this, there's too much at stake in club football for all these international borefests.
If Saka is out for a few weeks we're deep in the shit as we have fuck all creativity and some big big games coming up. :banghead:
Not having a pop at you TeeCee mate and I genuinely like your new found optimism (too many negative fuckers like me and augie and Retro on here! ) but do you not see the problem with those two statements in red?

In my opinion anyway, the squad is paper thin when it comes to genuine quality. Even look at our rightly highly praised defence. Does anyone believe that defence stays that good if Saliba gets crocked?

If legohead had any sense, he'd have sat Saka down and explained it to him, listen son, we're in with a serious shot here and youve the rest of your life to play in England games that actually mean something, you've lots of losing finals ahead of you :D , lets sit this one out eh, get a rest that you need and come back ready to go.

In fact he would have had the same speech prepared for any international squad member at Arsenal.

Why is it always at Arsenal where these basics of managing a premier league team don't seem to happen.

Yup I totally know what you're getting at mate. I do really feel this is our year though and it looks like we'll have to do it against the odds with all the injuries. I see us going full on GG in games, playing low blocks, 1-0 to the Arsenal, siege mentality. Without Ode and Saka we are very limited in creativity but we have enough to beat most teams still, even if we have to bore them to defeat!! :barscarf:

Again, and I'm not aiming this at you here buddy, but the cone boy fan club keep telling us that he is doing a great job cos no-one has a chance of beating citeeh to win the league, so why would any Arsenal player step away from playing for their country if we cant win the league ?

Secondly, it hasnt escaped me so I'm sure it hasnt escaped saka either, but there seems to be a MASSIVE push in the meeja to cram foden, palmer, bellingham and gordon into the starting england 11, so they seem to be suggesting that saka be dropped - he is not going to walk away from england games when his place is on the line, and tbh I dont blame him. It is comical listening and reading crap about foden and palmer as though they are the new messi when the reality is that neither have done fcuk all at international level yet, whilst saka has consistently delivered for his country but isnt the shiny new toy so is disrespected imo

🚨 Bukayo Saka has returned to Arsenal for further assessment having been substituted during the second-half of England’s match against Greece.

Whenever there's a' long assessment' at Arsenal, it's bad news. You'd be scanning him straight away, not leaving it 3 or 4 days so it's sounding serious..... :banghead:

I'd love that mate. To win it by doing our own thing and pissing off the media into the bargain. I hope and pray you're right. 8)

Thomas Tuchel appointed new England manager
Could actually be quite a shrewd move for the FA and for him. I think Tuchel was likely the best manager England could expect to get right now, especially in October. While I'm far from his biggest fan, Tuchel has won major trophies, he's got the experience in England and he does have pretty good stock. No doubt he'll want to improve on his standing following his disappointing spell at Bayern, as well.

Time will tell, but I wish him well in the role, nonetheless.
