RIP Thread

We had the inquest today, four months after. I went with my Mum's friend.

It was ruled as an accidental death. She supposedly overdosed on her prescription (despite her high tolerance levels), fell unconscious and stopped breathing.

They couldn't be specific about the time of death, which annoyed me. I had feared that I could have saved her, having woke up briefly an hour before and then went back to sleep; although rigor had set in when I found her that morning, meaning that it probably happened several hours before and so there was nothing I could have done regardless.

It doesn't change much though. I still lost her. I still feel robbed.

The counsellors by Finsbury Park have came through now, so it's good timing. I shall be dealing with this bereavement indefinitely.

I hope I can stick the job long enough to get an internal transfer to a non-office position in six months or so. It will be a struggle though, with my telephone-phobia. At least I have a few well-wishers though.

Sean, sorry to hear (read) all that you have gone through.

Try not to blame yourself / feel guilt about the situation - there was nothing you could have done.

Regarding the job front, in the short time you have been on here I have been impressed with your posts not only there content but also the style and layout. ( some people have been onhere years and can't quote yet !!)

I am sure you have a lot of qualities to offer employers - don't put yourself down mate, keep battling through but also try and let your feelings out every now and then instead of keeping it all in- it helps no end.

Sean, I'm so sorry to hear of your recent bereavement and the terrible time you've been through. I know the pain of loss, I've had two very close friends die recently (one drank himself to death, one died from MND/ALS) and lost my Dad to cancer back in 2008 and it's still raw. Time doesn't heal - but it does ease the pain to a bearable level.

I always feel as if I'm just throwing glib clichés by saying be strong, chin up and that kind of thing. But I hope and pray for you mate. You deserve something good in your life and I hope to God you find it.

Thanks, Northbank. I have to somehow survive the apprenticeship until the end of April, pass an accountancy course I now have no interest in pursuing, then start looking for something more suitable (if there is such a thing)

RIP ex-Sunderland and Spurs keeper Marton Fulop who played for us only a few short seasons ago. I remember Spurs giving us Fulop and money for Ben Alnwick, what a deal that was, Marton was a very decent keeper and by all accounts a great bloke. Died today at the age of 32 (God, that's only one year older than me!). Can only imagine how devastated his family must be. RIP Marton

I don't want to dirty this thread or disrespect the dead, but thank you very much marton for fumbling the ball (twice) while playing for wba against us in 2012. he knew what he had to do that day!
