Unless it's destroying Arsenal Football Club and shagging some French rapper which he has no problem doing simultaniously.

More like we won't spend the money to sign extra players AND sort out theo's contract. It's one or the other. IF he leaves then we give his wages to a new signing if not then no one else will be brought in. It's the same old story for the past 6 years; one in one out. Don't know why people are surprised.
Also for those who think Wenger can tell Kroenke, someone who has spent 400 odd million pounds of his own money, what to do with his own company, you're either really naive or have no idea how a real life business operates. The more likely scenario is that a strategy is agreed upon by the Board, including Kroenke himself, and this is then implemented by the manager, who may or may not make further suggestions to the board. Thinking that Wenger simply controls everyone at Arsenal is plain stupid to put it mildly.

Might just be me but United seem to be in pole position for this bloke:
SSN:
David Gill has confirmed Manchester United are chasing Wilfried Zaha.
The forward has been linked with all the Premier League's top clubs since emerging from the Crystal Palace academy to become a full England international this season.
According to recent reports, United have stolen a march on the likes of Arsenal and Tottenham by offering a lucrative deal which involves loaning Zaha back to Palace for the rest of the Championship campaign.
Gill would not confirm that, but the Old Trafford chief executive told Sky Sports News: "He is one of the players that we are looking at.
"That is all I will say at the moment. I've been in football long enough to say that is not done until it's done. He's one of the players we are looking at, but it is far from done."
Palace boss Ian Holloway is adamant any deal for Zaha this month must include provision for the 20-year-old to finish the season at Selhurst Park.
And Gill made it clear he would accommodate that demand, saying: "Even if we did do something with Wilfried, that would be for the summer."

You're perhaps also naive in thinking that Wenger has such a small influence. This has nothing to do with real life business - as demonstrated by the way football operates, and it can be argued that Wenger has the
status of a board member, given that the board has let him run his own project for so long, and he delivers the "success" they crave.

M'Vila not keen on #QPR. Fulham interested but no bid. Another PL club want loan + buy option (not #afc or #thfc):

Wenger makes the decisions. Buys the players, negotiates the wages, picks the team, formation, tactics (or lack of), subs, appoints the coaching staff etc.
How in the name of Jesus posters on here say "nothing will change" unless the board goes is beyond me. So a new manager will do everything that Wenger has done?
Nothing will change until Wenger goes. Its just Wenger supporters trying to deflect any sense of responsibility from him.
The board defers to Wengers experience. Wenger is present during board meetings. It is Wengers youth project and mis-management that has gradually seen us slide from a great team to also-rans. Wenger is very comfy in his massively paid job with the only "pressure" he's under is to deliver top four revenue.

Armchair has nailed it in the above paragraph, sadly that is the club we have become.
Zaha, this one puzzles me

why do we need the new Theo when the old one is about to eat up so much money despite being overwhelming in his underachieving.
We need goals, guts and guidance on the pitch. Zaha aint any of those things. Michu, Fellaini and Shawcross are

You said it yourself, the only pressure he's under is to deliver top four. And why is that? Whose job is it to ensure the manager is performing to standard? You think Wenger can tell Kroenke the way the club should be run? No. The ultimate decision is down to the owner. Even if the board/Korenke give Wenger great respect in allowing him a lot of freedom in running the club, there is no way in hell that Wenger can tell a man whose put £400m of his own money into a company "No this is the way we are running things".
I've said it before, the board and the owner are happy with the way things are. They are as much to blame as Wenger for our failings.
