As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Arsene Wenger on Abou Diaby: “He is still injured and is not close to coming back. We will have to give him a new 4 year contract to give him a proper chance of getting another game, I've also raised his wages by 10k a week to ease the pain......I still believe in him.......I also believe the children are our future, Teach them well and let them lead the way, Show them all the beauty they possess inside, Give them a sense of pride to make it easier, Let the children's laughter remind us how we used to be
Everybody's searching for a hero - me.....People need someone to look up to - me.....I never found anyone who fulfilled my needs, not Chelsea, Manu or Leeds......it's a lonely place to be, so I dictate at AFC
"Arsene Wenger has delivered a gloomy prognosis on the fitness of 28-year-old midfielder Abou Diaby, who now appears increasingly likely to have played his last game for Arsenal. (Daily Telegraph) "

Seriously though the poor fucker - I hope he gets that *word censored* that broke his ankle "Wacked" by The Moslem Mafia....Mind you some might say - he can now 'Kick back' (very gently of course) and enjoy his Millions in the J Arfur.
Very sad story really. If it wasn't for that absolute twat breaking his ankle in 2006 in the 93rd minute!!!! we might have had a real player on our hands. He showed flashes but he could never recover. Personally hope he can find some success on the coaching side. I know people criticise Wenger for how he's handled Diaby, but I do think he feels very strongly towards him because of what happened. As a manager, it's the wrong decision, but as a man I do admire it. Bring on the insults.

Did he not have an injury strewn record before joining us ? Up to my tonsils at work this morning (clearly ) so haven't got time to check this out, but I thought that he had been injury prone before joining us
Anyway I accept what you say about le cock trying to show him compassion by giving him 2 contracts since that injury, but surely a manager and club that operate under a strict business ethos (no 2 year contracts to over 30s for starters) should be able to operate in a more clinical and sensible fashion when making these decisions ? Personally I cannot understand how every single injury this fcuker gets seems to be blamed on that one tackle - I'm no medical guru or anything but surely it is stretching things to attribute all his consequent injuries to that day in mackemland ?
