THE WENGER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

imagine if Wenger left after the FA cup win... just imagine he did....

:rubchin:

now imagine what all these AKB's would say if his replacement had 33 points on new years day and we were sitting in 6th!

Wenger is the most useless manager in a top club.

He's a dead man walking you can see it in his body language. Truly believe this is his last season the most worrying thing is which clone the board will get to take over :rubchin:

To watch him smirking into the camera after another shambolic defeat puts me in a rage - people can cite injuries or whatever but the reality is that the team he put out yesterday should have wiped the floor with Southampton and that is what should be scrutinised. Put aside current form for a mo and tell me how many of theirs would make our starting line-up yesterday - not too many I would wager.
From the motd highlights last night it appeared that kos had an absolute 'mare - anticipation and positioning seemed all over the shop, and when the ball went past him he showed little or no inclination to chase back  Am wondering how many of our players are no longer behind the c.unt in charge :rubchin:

Last game I attended was Southampton at home last month and I have no interest in buying another ticket right now.
I'm losing interest win or lose game by game because it just feels so utterly pointless right now.

The only interest is whether Wenger leaves or not.
If he goes then I hope to get my interest back to some extent.

The lowest point I remember as an Arsenal fan was losing to York City in the FA cup (when the FA cup still mattered)
I think things are now getting close to the times of the mid 80s again...

Happy New Year!

You guys are all so disrespectful against the supreme leader!

Some facts about Wenger:

he first picked up a golf club in 1994, at North Korea's only golf course, and shot a 38-under par round that included no fewer than 11 holes in one. Satisfied with his performance, he reportedly immediately declared his retirement from the sport.

his birth in Baekdu Mountain was prophesied by a swallow and heralded with a double rainbow and a new star in the heavens.

He is known by more than 50 names including Dear Leader, Supreme Leader, Our Father, The General, Generalissimo.

He reportedly spread the myth across North Korea that he could control the weather with his moods, as if by magic.

If I had a pound for every time I'd heard on here that this will be his last season, we could fund the purchase of Messi

Absolute cobblers - he's going absolutely nowhere. It would cost £16m to pay him off - as if Wiggychops would sanction that. The day he signed that new 3 year deal you might as well have resigned yourself to the fact he's going nowhere till the Summer of 2017

Based on yesterday's horror show Fraser Forster would get in.

Ah, but we already "nearly" signed him, according to our very own dinosaur, so why bother to actually buy him now?

He will never be sacked. The only way he will leave is if he walks.

very unlikely to be sacked but he must be losing his appeal to footballers. He recruits good footballers and fucks their heads up by playing them out of position. He seems to buy players that dont fit his jigsaw and try to make them fit his jigsaw. When we sell Podolski in the january sales then thats another player he has taken and wasted on his egotistacal scheme. :cussing:

I thought he had lost the players last season..then after the cup final they celebrated/threw him around as if the win was all down to him (unless they were trying to give him a heart attack).
I thought he had lost the majority of the fans...until the "1AW" outburst against the Geordies...but hope that was just a reaction to the train station incident.

Now....I just don't know.
The only thing that is keeping me sane is the hope that someone at the club, either at board level or the senile one himself, will finally realise what a lot of people already know, that things can't go on like this and he has to leave for the good of the club.

I often come on here and stick up for season ticket holders and think the worst thing us old school supporters could do is give up. But, hand on heart, if I didn't hold on to a tiny slither of hope that he fucks off before the 3 yrs is up...I would find it very difficult to keep going myself and that makes me sad. Once we give up...it truly is all over.

Please just fuck off wenger.

On the day Gerrard has announced his intention to quit Liverpool I am reminded of the time he previously came to that decision.
Then local thugs abused and threatened his family and 'persuaded' him to stay in the club, not get out.
Just saying.......

Slowly and methodically and with each passing season, each ridiculous transfer window, every pathetic capitulation. Every baffling substitution and insulting comment. Wenger has stolen my enthusiasm, love, passion, anticipation, euphoria, excitement.
Its gone, all gone. Im just sitting around in limbo waiting for him to be gone. For it all to be over.
Its agony, pure fucking torture. Death by a thousand cuts. And its ALL down to Wenger. Not Gazidis. Not Kronke. Wenger alone.

We could have and should have done more to persuade him not to renew. We missed the opportunity last season.
I agree with those who say he will not be sacked. But....... his massive ego would not allow him to stay while being ridiculed by fans and questioned in the media for a sustained period. Im in no doubt fan pressure will get him out. Otherwise hes here until 2017 at least.

Agree with a lot of that mate, except for the fact I could never make Kroenke or Gazidis blameless in this chapter of the club's history. In my opinion we have the worst form of owner possible - a rich man simply aiming to get richer at the fan's expense. All the talk of cheap tickets at the new stadium, listening to fans' groups etc - all cheap talk and no action. The guy is turning us into another underperforming franchise just like ALL the others he owns. I can't think of a single positive thing to come out of Kroenke's ownership and I long for the day he sells up and fucks off.

For more than a decade people have talked about what will happen to Chavski once Abramovich fucks off or what will happen to City once Sheikh Mansour moves on - well we're still waiting. They've built world class academies and brought up successful football which excites the public - if that's how they want to invest their personal fortune (and by the way its still a fraction of their net worth) then good on them I say.

Unfortunately our main supporters group chose to embarrass themselves with their 'Sod Off Jabba' bollocks so instead of an owner who may carry some risk but might just invest in the football side first, we are left with a ponderous old c u n t milking the fans, who attends once a year, can't be arsed to ever say anything worthy of note and lets Gazidis and Wenger feed his money making machine. I hate the c u n t with every breath in my body and forget BBQs.....there will be a week long party with as much booze, drugs and sex as a man could wish for when he slings his wig in another direction
