Re: THE WENGER THREAD
Wiggy tests the waters by whipping 3 million from the club......nothing happens
Tickets prices increase....nothing happens
Worst start in 20 odd years on top of season upon season of calamitous capitulation.....nothing happens
As a fanbase we get what we desrerve, whether it's apathy or we are too passive I'm not sure, but I certainly don't see Stanley or Wenger being run out of town any time soon becuase 2 people heckled at a a train station or 1 guy rushed the bench at Southampton. Last year I was convinced he'd walk once his contract expired but he's here until 2017 now so make your peace with it.

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
I see your point mate but lets be honest, if we had a manager who could motivate, do tactics, instill some of that famous mental strength. A manager who was a football manager not a finance manager and had us genuinely competing. We wouldnt give a toss about Kronke, Gazidis or anybody else.
Wed be consumed with supporting the team and watching us progress, not stuck in this perpetual time warp of mediocrity and under-achiecement. Once we start actually competing on the pitch and fans can see a future that isnt the same every season, we wont have to start looking around for people to blame. Yes we will moan about ticket prices, etc
Remember, the money is there. Wenger either choses not to use it or squanders it on the socialist wage structure.

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
I get that - I just can't divorce the two. Wenger pisses me off no end.....the fact that Kroenke endorses his clueless management by rewarding him with a 3 year deal simply because he carries on making him money just makes me as pissed off with him. The two go hand in hand......I remember when Dein left people were worried that There's Only One had lost his mentor and what his future would be. He must be fucking delighted that a bloke who knows fuck all about football took over and basically told him to finish 4th each year in return for being one of the most highly paid managers in world football. I don't blame Wenger for walking away - Kroenke guaranteed him £24m over 3 years in the Summer despite pipping moneybags Everton to 4th place having collapsed from being 8 points above Liverpool in early Feb. There should have been no coming back from that, which is why it makes me laugh when people talk about our latest defeat as a turning point......the only turning point will be (a) if Wiggy leaves or (b) if There's Only One flunks the top four 2 years in a row. Sadly with the operating cash flow building each year and the Bowl still sold out I can't see (a) happening any time soon......and all the while the PL is still a stinking pile of shite outside the top 2 then I don't see (b) happening either (despite the Self Harmer's best attempts again this year)armchair wrote:I see your point mate but lets be honest, if we had a manager who could motivate, do tactics, instill some of that famous mental strength. Re: THE WENGER THREAD
We could get rid of him. It is possible, but...........
too many gooners are apathetic and satisfied with a perenial top four finish and a pot every 9 seasons.
Kronke will want to make money whoever the manager is but I certaintly blame Wenger with taking an absolute fortune in wages, setting his own targets and using the club from top to bottom as his own project and ego trip. All the while insulting fans and anyone who dares to question him.
Yes Kronke should sack him. Of course.
But Kronke will still raise prices, and take the piss if we were winning everything in sight. Or winning practically nothing like nowadays.
Another manager would do much better with the assets and squad Wenger has at his disposal. Another manager would give the fans a future to look forward to, not the same merry-go-round Wenger has us on every season. Another manager would still make Kronke money too by doing just that.

It pisses me off when we lose, but deep down I know its probably for the best. Realistically the only way we could see change at the club will be if we miss out on a 4th place finish. Then it will piss the board off, and leave Wenger with no excuse, and no chance to pretend the season has still been a success, and will mean fan dissent will grow.

This Luke Bryant lad deserves a bloody medal

Man United announce ticket price freeze for 4th consecutive season - the UK's richest club and capable of selling out the ground several times over most weeks.

In which event his supporters, and no doubt he himself, will say he’s been unbelievably consistent achieving top 4 since the cretaceous period and therefore deserves a chance to regain the virtual trophy.BFG4 wrote:It pisses me off when we lose, but deep down I know its probably for the best. At the end of the following season, if he indeed did get us back into the Chumps League then The AKB would dissolve in an arc of pant-yoghurt and claim it his ‘best ever achievement’. To think losing is for the greater good is counter-factual I’m afraid.
Re: THE WENGER THREAD
Great piece on Talksport from Stewart Robson earlier this afternoon. He puts the blame of our current predicament and our inability to compete firmly at Wengers door.
Well worth a listen if it's available?

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
Don't recognise all the fucktards that Wenker assembles on the bench these days so I googled Arsenal Coaching Staff. Including academy coaches no fewer than 54 names and photos appeared. Fifty fucking four of them combine to produce the current shower of shite. Surely the second biggest gravy train after the EU.
