Re: THE WENGER THREAD
They just use to wheel out the anti-Glazer line whenever they didn't win a trophy. It all piped down when they were champions but then if they had another barren season sure enough it would be down to the Glazers.in my heart wrote:At least the glazers have backed the club financially, kept tickets prices low and have dialogue with the fandnorthbank123 wrote:Few items I hate more than those green and golf scarves - synonymous with clueless glory-hunting wankers.
Re: THE WENGER THREAD
I don't post on here often, but I feel that Ikechuk(something) is bang on with his synopsis about season ticket holders. If you keep paying up to go even though you can't show signs of dissent, keep referring to it as the soul-less bowl, have extreme hatred of Wenger and the quality of football on offer, then you need to ask yourself why you are going at all? You are paying the money for an inferior product which keeps the gravy train rolling and the status quo intact. Eventually, that ST waiting list will dry up the longer that we underachieve and the corporate box sales will die as well, but that needs to start with you.
I understand that for some, they have been going for years, but if you want change, it is the only way that you are going to get your message across because a large scale protest simply will not happen unless we dramatically underachieve (I mean finishing about 10-12th) which as much as we loathe Wenger, he simply isn't as clueless not to pull out results when needed. The other option is to hit them in the pocket.
So there are only a couple of alternatives - one being, not to renew. The other being for some brave soul to start a new group - one which deals with fan dissatisfaction with Wenger. I initially thought that the Black Scarf movement would provide a platform for this, but, unfortunately, they too don't want to alienate their members. Now I am not volunteering because I don't have a long history as some on here, but if there was a consensus to get this going, I would be more than happy to lend my expertise. Ikechu - what say you?
Out of the many Gooner forums out there, this one is the one that is easily the most anti-Wenger, so it would be fitting to launch this from here.

Yes , also a pathetic attempt by those glory hunting fans to say "we know the history of our club " . Like fuck they do, MUFC Founded by Sky for Sky is the extent of their knowledge.northbank123 wrote:Few items I hate more than those green and golf scarves - synonymous with clueless glory-hunting wankers.

Yes and since the wig wearing *word censored* has been in charge we've soldBlood_Gooner wrote:With all the stick we give Wiggy and the Board, we have spent somewhere in the region of £230 on transfers since 2011.
Funds have always been available to Le Fraud and spend he has. Just that he has wasted most of it on dross and when he bought actually quality, he inexplicably found some way to fuck them up.
He personifies that metaphorical handbrake he keeps alluding to, really.
Clichy, Fabregas, Eboue, Nasri, Traore, Vela, Van Persie, Bartley, Song, Lansbury, Gervinho, Mannone, Djourou, Miquel, Vermaelen, Eisfeld.....for £150m +......so £80m over four years is fuck all investment in a squad that is supposedly competing with Europe's elite. If you factor in the additional income from commercial deals and especially property sales there has been ZERO net investment
The bloke is the cancer of the club and I'm glad I stuck 2 fingers up at his ticket prices many moons a go - the worst owner in the whole of the PL.

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
Most of those players were sold / left for reasons directly linked to Wenger. Some wanted out because they were in search of titles which they knew they wouldn't win under Wenger. Better wages was also a factor for some who knew they could get improve their finances plying their trade elsewhere. Not everyone was going to accept Wenger's socialist wage policy.
Others were complete dross stacked by Wenger. They were never good enough to be here in the 1st place and every Gooner shouted happy riddance when they were offloaded.
Few other variables I could throw in as well, all pointing to the flaws of one man.
I'll also add that Kroenke is still relatively new around these parts. We've been plagued by similar problems a good ten years and counting. One bloody constant in all this.
Wenger Out!

Completely disagree with the age thing mate. I'm 20 so Wenger has been the dictator pretty much my whole life, certainly the whole time I've been watching games, but even I can tell he's got to go. Same with my mates, even the non-Arsenal supporting ones.Ikechukwu1 wrote: I actually think it's an age thing: sure our hardcore support is dead as a dodo. But...
I think more than class it's an age thing. We have a load of young impressionable fans who curiously, began following the club around 2004Some others were ahead of that curve and started after the 98' Double season. You see them and meet them everywhere, they've only ever known one manager and genuinely think the club dies without him

You can be any age to be an idiot, look at Wenger himself.
Re: THE WENGER THREAD
So Podolski goes on loan...I wish him well.....What a waste Wenger you @@@@. We keep Sanogo ....you know the rest. Sanchez get's injured, Giroud is a lazy cun.t accident waiting to happen,Campbell is whatever (who knows unless you play him?), Sanogo is useless. Nice one Wenger. Watched the invincibles on Sky earlier....how many new ones would they rip this shower! I am up for a big boo at the bowl tomorrow.

And therein lies the issue...you want change..then tell the bowl to shove it and dont go...watch it on the box! Empty seats...the only solution!!!Lee1 wrote: I am up for a big boo at the bowl tomorrow.![]()

I used to think that telling people not to go was the answer as well. I now don't believe it is.
If you remove the people who are prepared to boo then they are replaced with sanitised muppets who are just happy to sit there (to be honest it is happening anyway)
The more committed Arsenal fans at the bowl the better.
