Other Matches Thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

We tried but couldn’t pull it off.

He was at Coventry for 2 years and ended up in Lisbon for £20m, who now want £80m for him.

Can't believe this borefest rolls on till the end of January ffs. As if the old boring group stage going on to early December wasn't boring enough

Any loss for City is a victory for football - amazing what a European ref and a fearless team can do when they put their minds to it eh?

However, in the scheme of things with this rotten league thing, it won't matter at all - not like they won't finish in the top 24 is it

That was probably one of Amorim's clauses in signing for Manure, that they ensure they sign the players He Wants.

Osimhen was available to buy for about 60m this summer. Sure, he wanted big wages...but Arteta is looking more and more ridiculous for not getting the player who would have won us the title this season, when City are vulnerable.

Nah the 60m clause only came in after he’d fucked off to Turkey leaving everyone know his time at Napoli was done thus weakening their bargaining position.

Once he was at Galatasary on loan, after failing to force a move to Saudi for all the monies, they renegotiated his release clause from 110m to 60m.

Agreed. Undoubtedly a terrific finisher but more motivated by cash than playing ball. He’ll end up in Saudi, the only reason it hasn’t happened already is because Toney took the foreign player spot in the team. He’ll end up there next window though to trouser all that blood cash.
