Hmmm shaping up to be yet another lacklustre window, tomorrow is going to be such an anticlimax I feel, well it would be had I anticipated any real will or desire to improve but the club carries on the same even with the Old Fraud and the Snake Oil Salesman gone :rubchin:

Arsenal pressed hard for Perisic. They want loan + option, Inter Milan want permanent or loan + obligation. So #AFC offered to pay penalty fee if loan doesn’t become permanent. No sign of #Inter budging. Far lower numbers & effort in Carrasco pursuit. Nkunku said to be 50/50 #PSG

Ah good old In The Know Dave. Good to see he is still just throwing as much shit at that wall as he can. Some of it will stick no doubt and then he'll be hailed as IN THE KNOW.

My only hope is we get a decent winger that replaces Iwobi. I notice our fan-base hyping him up, when in reality he is shit. They did likewise with Giroud -judging by the Chelsea game a few weeks ago, they still are

Have to say that I am not at all pleased with this deal - pushing nketieh out on loan makes total sense cos he has shown that he aint ready to bring anything to our first team yet, but smith-rowe could have played a part in what might be a hectic 2nd half of the season. Suarez will not be available for europa league, so smith-rowe could have been a big help there

He has good games to his standard but 90% of the time and especially with defence that sticks with him he can't do anything. Tunnel vision, dribbles that lead to lost possession or play back to Granit to then go back to the other side or back to full backs.

He has some sort of impact off the bench due to pace but in crucial moments you can't have him on the ball. Smith-Rowe going to Leipzig doesn't help either. We needed Perisic or even better Carrasco (which to my knowledge both deals went off)

Someone that could've actually been a part of the team (especially in EL) is going on loan. I don't understand :banghead:

Exactly what I thought when I heard the news, we have a shed load of other players that I would loan out before him but I would assume no fucker wants them.

Where the f*ck are the new defenders? And I don’t mean over the hill, pension providing shit like Cahill!
Suarez is a bit of an unknown, but if he replaces Comedy, then great. Otherwise we’ll be constantly ripped apart at the back.

I dont know enough about Suarez to say whether he is a good player of not but if he cant score or assist a goal a match then is he worth the time and resources spent on him?

Our ongoing issue with defensive injuries and the potential for more as the season progresses leaves me feeling we're on a knife edge and let's be honest it's not unknown for some teams to target these weakened areas to exacerbate them. I guess with Mavrapanos back in training and Elneny, Xhaka and Monreal able to step in the gaffer feels we have enough cover...... personally I'm not convinced by any of the stand in options, mind you I'm not confident in most of the first options either :?
