Structure of payment will be crucial to get Declan Rice deal done. Arsenal have been informed of that — West Ham also want easy add-ons and won’t accept a structure with difficult ones, as today’s £15m. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 #AFC

Second bid has been rejected but won’t be the last one.

The chavs are apparently looking to complete a quick sale

https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/22747789 ... act-offer/

Of course they are - "lets get this done quickly in case anyone with half a brain at AFC realises that we are screwing them and they are buying a dud for big money"

This basque c.unt has signed TWENTY FIVE players since he became AFC manager, and I dont think that you can hold even one of them as a major success - seems like him and arteta are learning nothing and are going to continue pissing money away this summer. In 3 years at the club I make it 9 players that he has signed and are already left the club - that is a staggering figure imo. For years now our board and owners have rightfully received loads of stick for insufficient investment in the playing squad, but right now serious questions need to be asked as to why no-one in the board is standing up and stopping this havertz deal - I dont want us to buy rice either but I can at least see why some are blinded to the folly of buying declan rice, but surely there is no-one that watches english football who cannot see what a totally ridiculous and braindead signing havertz would be ?? If we sign havertz then we deserve the serious decline that we will suffer next season
Good signings off the top of my head under Arteta :-

Gabriel
Ode
White
Ramsdale
Partey
Zinc
Jesus
Tomi
Trossard

First two, yeah ok.

Next three, not really. All bang average.

Next two, jury out imo.

Last two, hmm, maybe. Tomi struggling but I'm not anti and no problem with Trossard.

All in all, not much to shout about given the money spent.

I watched most of the jocks game against norway last Saturday, and it was basically the same shite from odeargod as I seen weekly with AFC ...... take 20 touches instead of moving the ball faster  Given how the media very openly questioned citys tactics early in the season for not maximising haaland by getting the ball to him quicker, I was shocked that the norway manager and coaching team did not bollock odeargod and fix that problem cos it allowed mediocre scottish centre backs (R Porteous and Hendry) to totally nullify the best striker in the world  Odeargod is bang average against good teams, and would not have lasted 5 mins on our 2002-2004 team because the likes of henry and pires lived on early ball

I'm not arguing with that Augie and I've hardly given him a ringing endorsement, either here or ever since we've had him. Technically very good, neat and tidy and can be very effective against the lesser lights, but usually anonymous when it matters and against the big boys. certainly far more often than he should be. As for club captain  .

That said, I was assessing five to three's list of "successful" Arteta purchases and I think it would be too harsh to consider Odegaard a failure, or even average. A very good footballer, but lacking some vital ingredients at the top level...reminds me of Christian Erikson.

It has been indicated to Mail Sport that Arsenal are willing to meet Rice's £100m valuation. Their next offer will be closer to that mark. [@SamiMokbel81_DM]

I think we’ll get him but what does that even mean?? They want £100m. We are willing to not meet it by falling just short.

I love that in this pc world people can throw around words like racism so effortlessly - I'm not nor have I ever been racist and dont care if our players or staff are white, black, orange or blue, or if they are english, Irish, american or any other nationality as long as they are of the required standard for my club. Fcuk off with that racism shit

I'm inclined to agree with Stuart. This isn't anything PC, it's out of order IMO. Yeah, you don't like Arteta we get that, but when you start to make comments about where he is from, what does that have to do with the conversation?

Key point for Arsenal: Thomas Partey’s potential exit is NOT linked with Granit Xhaka or Declan Rice. ⚪️🔴

◉ Xhaka & Arsenal agreed terms with Bayer Leverkusen; waiting for new midfielders to join then he’s expected to leave.

◉ #AFC to go for 2 midfielders if Partey leaves.

It was previously mentioned in another thread….I thought at the time it was referring to Italy / Spain and their fans treatment of black players, but going back through the thread it was another of Augie’s barbs aimed at Arteta and his heritage

Surley it's only racist if being basque has negative connotations? Isn't it just an adjective in this sense like lego haired or what ever else names folk on here use at him. Bit like calling xhaka the Swiss turd that many here do.

No idea if any intent for it to be an insult here bit doesnt in my head as I wouldn't mind being basque, fierce attitude, lovely part of the world, passionate, good looking, clever...if he had said oirish on the other hand well....that a different color horse completely...

If someone said they were fed up of that Irish cuunt Augie, would that be acceptable? Doubtful I would say.
