Abou Diaby - Injuries Thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Diaby should have gone years ago, he has cost the club a small fortune and given us sweet FA, sooner he goes the better.

We could have built our very own hospital with the money we've funnelled into his bank account over the years he has been smacked.

Count the mention of Dan *word censored* Smith's name in the comments. Has such a no-mark ever before had so many mentions on t'interweb?

Who else thinks we should give Abou a testimonial at the end of this season if his injury problems mean he has to leave?

9 years loyal service....never once moaned about the problems he's had

Tell you what, the day this blight on our finances finally gets released I'm going to delete this thread. Not quite a testimonial, but fuck it, this twonk once injured himself kicking fresh air!

Also injured himself taking a shot................

And managed to injure himself kicking John Terry in the face.

I think he'll retire if the Arsene Wenger Benevolent Fund doesn't pony up for yet another new contract at the end of the season.

I still feel privileged that I actually got to see him play football this season - he played about an hour in our heroic defeat to moneybags Southampton in the Carling Cup in September.

each time he passed the ball I was thinking wow you just got paid several thousand pounds to do that

But if you actually look at what he has been **gifted, compared to how many times he actually kicked a ball, then it's more like several hundred thousand pounds to do it. :x

**I say "gifted" rather than "paid" as to be "paid" for something implies some sort of work or contribution on the payee's part.
