THE WENGER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Interesting article about Lukas leaving on loan here, not very professional if it is true on 'Le Boss' part:

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2324 ... nter-move?

Much as i dislike Wenger if he didn't wish him well it really smacks of petulance and it almost guarantees Lukas wont play in Red and White ever again. :rubchin:

Wenkers arrogance strikes again! Yes I know that this matter that Lukas says isn't that big of a thing, but isn't it common good manners that the man of that age should know?

Chesney's dad seems to be as big a w.anker as he is  How can this dickhead publicly slate players that are playing alongside his son week in and week out ? In years gone by no keeper or his old man would publicly any team-mates because TA6, PV4, keown etc would have torn the head off both of them 8) Doing what he has done is a cowardly treacherous act by someone who has no concept of what a team ethos is all about, and if the only way he can defend his son is by having a pop at others, then he is in serious shit
I find it amazing that any ex pro or celeb who slag of arsenal get lambasted here as a flip flopper or twat,is it just us that can moan about our current plight, seems to me certain people here don't like there thunder being stolen.good on sir chezdad for outing the joke we have become

Tbf marky, how do you think that you would react if your team-mates dad slagged you publicly in the national media ? There is nobody here that will disagree with much of the content of what he said BUT, as long as Chesney is at the club he should not be the one to say it. I know that if I was a defender in the current squad, then the very least I would expect is an apology from Chesney himself when he turns up for training next - his father has basically tried to hang out all of his team-mates in an effort to protect his son and that can divide a dressing room very quickly.

At least we know that if we get rid of le cock before next season, it will give podolski 1 more season to see if he can be a success with us in a new system and under a new manager - come on people.......we have just 5 months to drive this senile arrogant French c.unt out of OUR club 8)

not sure he will be pushed out but yes certainly Arsenal supporters could do more to put greater pressure on Wenger

there needs to be a coordinated protest but none ever seems to be forthcoming.

Arsene Wenger gets tough with smoking ban:

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has told players any of them caught smoking on club duty will be sent to train with the youth team for the rest of the season following goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny's misdemeanour in the changing room shower after defeat against Southampton

= = = = = = = = = = = = =

What a load of Bollocks – If he was getting tough he would say – "You smoke – you go on the transfer list!"

:rubchin:  – I’m sure I saw Diaby and Sanogoals smoking the other day! :D

this forum may be stale, but thats because what is there to discuss? 95% of us know we arent going to win anything, we know he club isnt good enough, we KNOW wenger needs to leave, we know he's not going to sign anyone of real significance, we know he will not strengthen our CDM or CBs, we know he will have zero tactics and man management in big games, we know there will be pointless/terrible substitutions at 70 mins, we know the handbrake was on and the team was physically jaded, we know good players will continue to be played out of position, we know our formation will never change even when the players don't fit it, we know wenger can't zip a coat and we know the virtual trophy is all he needs to continue with this pointless shit for another 2 years.

so what is there to debate? its pointless. its sad.

If/When the senile old c.unt does leave, this place will get a sense of excitement that it hasnt seen in years - all of a sudden there will be a new manager to assess, new tactical formations to analyse, new player recruitment policies to discuss....it could really spark this place into life and entice old members back and new members to join 8)
And when that glorious day comes you can be sure the Waitrose in Holloway Road will sell out of Champagne pretty quickly.

I seriously cannot wait for that!

When we can start debating over things that we haven't gone over umpteen times in the past. :barscarf:

thing is though augie it seems anybody famous who has a dig gets a bad press here,Merson gets called a Chav,Stewart Robson had an agenda,Piers Morgan is a twat, the list goes on,this is what my gripe is about.in my opinion anybody be they ex Arsenal or ex pro or celeb or players parent who publicly slams Le Cock isdoing the same as us lot and is fighting our corner

good on Pod - who btw was out of contract in June so deffo not coming back.

i had a feeling he wouldn't be afraid to speak out - pod and gervinho have criticised wenger in the last couple of months, add woz's dad and various pundits, and flak is finally starting to come from all sides. i don't think we'll see any more german signings - Hummels, Reus etc as players talk.

and talking of germans - Ozil smokes doesn't he ?

and i had to laugh at his presser - they are STILL trying to find a PL club to take sanogo on loan  i'm sure wenger is amazed that no-one else wants him. but we're not are we ?

i understand that smoking in the locker room is dumb, but honestly who gives a shit if a player smokes? as long as he's doing his job and is not dying of lung cancer on the pitch i couldnt care less what players do in their off time.

hell i'd probably prefer if they did a line or two before the game...be nice and pumped up and ready to go :barscarf:
