This makes for unbelievable reading:
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/footba ... 7642/.html

Le Tool effectively admitting what many of us long suspected: George Graham basically gave him the springboard for success. No GG defence, no success for him. It really is that simple. Ppl mention the Invincibles defence but that's mainly down to Sol on a freebie, and an academy lad by the name of Ashley Cole (don't think Lauren was all that personally).
The funniest thing in the article, and tbf they have a pop about this; is that Mourinho created 2 great defences based on great holding mids (Makelele, Matic), and his current back 5 is mainly foreign. Look at Koeman at S'oton. It's just a hilarious bullshit excuse, especially when Arsenal have the funds to sign players like Hummels, Varane, Carvalho etc
Problem is, you need to coach a defence and drill them. He's effectively now admitted he can't do that. And yet he doesn't let Bould touch them or hire an expert for it. Grade A tosser...

Is that a bit like when he claimed all our injuries were partly done to the type of hair dye some players were using?

I just heard that the defeat at Stoke was 'little bit special circumstances'

Fuck me, all this love for podolski is fucking hilarious.
He was a lazy *word censored* who could never be relied upon, he gave zero support to his full back.
His complete lack of tactical nous will be highlighted further in Italy.
Wenger did well to get rid of him.

Sounds like like someone else at Arsenal. :rubchin:

Edit:

If Wenger "did well to get rid of him" then why did he spunk £11m on him in the first place, only to see him walk out of the door for fuck all?

Not forgetting giving him £100k p/w.

What Koeman has achieved so far is quite unbelievable, a back 4 that collectively cost less thank Mertesacker alone
It also of course, makes a mockery of Le Joke's interview yesterday where he claimed it's harder to get great defenders, so makes it harder to defend. Koeman is the living example of a coach that can make a defence and midfield greater than the sum of it's parts. As I've always said, I judge Arsenal v our peers i.e. Chelski, ManYoo and Citeh.
I cannot see any way on earth Wenger would ever go to OT and deliver a tactical performance of such mastery. He hasn't managed it for over a decade, so won't hold my breath...it's be great to see an Arsenal team win at OT again. But like I said, we are handicapped. I also don't understand anyone claiming they have doubts over Schneiderlin. He's a hundred times superior to anything we have in midfield. Arteta, Flamini, Coquelin...Schneiderlin. Why isn't he being signed? :rubchin:

Caught the end of the ManUre v Saints game, and also having seen them earlier this season, I don't think there's a better defensive midfield partnership than Schneiderlin and Wanyama anywhere in the PL - and I mean anywhere including City and Chavski. First time United haven't managed a shot on target at home since May 2009. Koeman deserves a lot of credit, especially given the loss of Shaw, Lovren, Chambers, Lambert and Lallana - incredible effort from Saints and if they made top four it would be up there with Atletico's miracle in Spain last year

Koeman to join Simeone in having God-like status on this site.
He's only been a manager for half a season over here.
Any possibility of seeing him tested before we make a a judgement, maybe dealing with an injury list that we have faced!?!??!

And ranking just below the miracle of the Hawthorns when God sent forth Marton Fulop to ensure that the holy grail was captured once more. And the miracle of St James Park where Olivier Giroud followed up the wild 4th placed celebrations on the pitch and in the dressing room by conceiving twelve children with Geordie slapped in one night.

On a serious note Chamberlains interview claiming that we are in a great position to kick on this season sums up our aspirations. There will be wild celebrations come May when we scrape 4th only 18 points off the winners.

Not quite WUMmy chops - whats wrong with saying the bloke deserves a bit of credit for losing half a team and producing some decent performances. Perhaps the six year olds you hang round with think Simeone is up there with the footballing gods (the same ones who probably wanted AVB a couple of years back), but some of us are actually capable of praising someone without giving them God status

Fair enough, Koeman's clearly impressive but do we really need every good team performance to lead to a comparison to that teams manager and wenger!?!?
Very boring and completely irrelevant on the majority of cases.

Didn't mention Wenger once when talking about Koeman. I think you might find some of us here do have hair in funny places

Are you saying we need to wait and judge him in May?
The facts are clear, he's already managed in that half season what our resident fuckwit ain't managed in about a decade ie a win and a clean sheet at OT. There's also the obvious point that Wenger has given us 10 years of shite so he's proven to us for certain he's garbage
Like all good Wenger call centre Samaritans, you've rolled out the classic "injuries" excuse LOL
Everyone knows the Arsenal injury list stems from gross mismanagement, and besides, when your wage bill is over £150m you're supposed to mitigate for injuries. Then again, why am I even bothering to discuss this with one of Arsene's mistresses eh?
As for Simeone, he managed to win a league title against the 2 biggest teams in the world without once bitching about "financial doping" or cowering in his dugout cos some fans might say howwible things about him. No matter what u say about your Messiah, he is and will remain, an unflushable turd in a rather large toilet bowl....
