Opening bid of £30million was rejected earlier in the week and #AFC keen to keep pushing for their primary defensive target. Ajax asked £50million but aware they won’t get that.
I'll be honest and say that I dont remember seeing the guy playing so I know next to nothing about him - I've seen reports suggesting that he can play a few different positions, but what is his main position ? I thought when reports came out first they suggested that he is a right back (that would please me tbh), but sky suggesting that his positions are left back, centre back or defensive midfielder![]()

Manchester City are still working out how their squad will look next season and the pros and cons of adding Declan Rice to the midfield
City showed with Grealish they’re not afraid to pay huge sums for what they see as long-term investment, and at 24 Rice has his best years ahead of him. However, the club are also keen not to be seen to be spending extravagantly with a high net spend
City are expected to spend considerably in defence to cover for the expected departure of Aymeric Laporte
There are question marks over the City midfield for next season and how Rice would fit in

No one at Arsenal has ever confirmed or denied that they have any interest in Rice or anyone else for that matter and this is what winds everyone up.

Deal for Timber is looking good but Arsenal are not out of the woods yet.

Xhaka and Holding departing will officially bring down the curtain on the banter era, there won't be a single Le Fraud signing left at the club next season

You've still got PTSD Augie thinking Wenger signed them 2, Pepe was signed when Emery was in charge (who famously wanted Zaha instead) and Arteta was manager when Cedric signed.augie wrote: ↑Fri Jun 23, 2023 1:46 pmrodders999 wrote: ↑Fri Jun 23, 2023 1:08 pmXhaka and Holding departing will officially bring down the curtain on the banter era, there won't be a single Le Fraud signing left at the club next season![]()

Allessia Russo

What great news eh lads, the one we’ve all been waiting for
Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
Citeh’s Rice bid is apparently £75m + 15m in add ons, paid over 2 years. Our last bid was the same money but over 4 years.
I guess the question is do we reduce our payment length to get the player.
If, as has been suggested numerous times in the press, he is our summer priority then we will need to find a way to loosen the purse strings. Getting Xhaka off the wage bill would be a huge help.

Dani Getafe was a free agent this summer and I've been chewing on my undies the last few months terrified that we might pick him up on a free but he's just extended at Madrid.

Timber is the chap we need . He can play across the back line and defensive midfielder according to my source (my Son). He also claims City and Rice are close.
