What I can’t understand is that we were prepared to pay 80 million + for him in January, but seem to have backed off and given the chavs a free run at him now. We should at least be making strong noises that we want him, firstly to drive the price up for the chavs and secondly to try to keep West Ham honest over a price for Rice.

Like others have said, we seem absolutely clueless in our transfer dealings and it’s nothing new.

To be fair the price has already been driven up because his moronic agent had him sign a new deal after our bid, Brighton looking for 120m now which could easily leave him stuck thre.

As of Noon Today there has been no fresh bid for Declan Rice from either Arsenal or Man City. It seems some sort of stalemate is going on. Will keep you updated
