The ''no one is coming'' Transfer Thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Nothing. I've stated previously Sterling is massively overrated. But he will at least run at the oppo with the ball. Feo doesn't even have that in his game anymore. TBH I'd have taken neither, but there is no way current form (a whole season of shitness) makes Feo "better" than Sterling. Both are shit but Feo is shitter.

That 49 million quid Liverpool stung City to get Sterling for must surely go down as one of the greatest swindles in the history of the game.

Probably only topped by the 63 million quid Madrid spunked away on James Rodriguez after a few good games at the last WC.

I think this summer's big swindle will be if someone is daft enough to piss away the reported £40m that it seems would be enough to prise the dogshit John Stones away from Everton. The most overrated player in the league and that's saying something!

Not sure about the stones part rodders - I still think that there might be a good defender in there, and if he played under a defensive manager (like GG for example) I think he could be turned into a quality defender

I have to agree with this. I think everyone was calling Martinez Wenger-lite, so you can assume that not much detail to defending was done there.

Wondering if Vardy is holding out hoping to put himself in the shop window at the Euros?
Maybe he hopes a big, truly ambitious club will move if he does well. :rubchin:
All the time knowing he can always fall back on Arsenal if all else fails......

That is of-course assuming that the deal hasn't already been done but not announced.

See we managed to get Mahrez £40K a week a pay rise as well, just Kante and Drinkwater to go and we will bankrupt Leicester

They're calling the new stand after Sterling as his fee, funded the redevelopment.
It is a monstrous rebuild and looks so out of place for the area. It can be seen from some 7 miles away in certain places.
