Spending that amount of cash should improve a team 10-15 points a season and Declan Rice ain’t gonna do that.

I’ve never seen him dominate a game or single-handedly drag his team over the line. The guy is bang average and I’ll forgive city 15 of their 115 counts of cheating if they sign him.

In an alternate universe he remained an Irish international and is worth 25 million tops.

What a fucking waste when that money could have been put to much better use strengthening the team.

Did you not watch Italy vs England then? Judge him when he's surrounded by better players. One man doesn't make a team.

Didn’t see that game (international football, especially qualifiers bore me to death) but I have seen him play tournament football for England with top players all around him and he’s never stood out for me.

Granted what I’m really basing my opinion of him on is the countless amount of games for West Ham I’ve seen him play and never once did I think fuck me he’s absolutely outstanding we should do everything to make him our record signing.

If he joins I’ll be fully on board and as with Havertz will really hope they both go on to bang at this club and lead us to success but if either go on to be any more than bang average (which is what they’ve been any time I’ve seen them in the premier league to date) I’ll be fucking amazed.

He will make our midfield, and unlike Partey he isn't injury prone. Proper hyped about getting him. This is the biggest signing in decades if we can get it over the line. If City get him forget the league next season.

It isn't just the signing of the player (imo a very good player who will improve our team greatly) But it would also be a 'statement' as such, that he decided to join us rather than $hitty and the Oil Sheiks.

If the Declan Rice signing doesn't go ahead there would be a Huge meltdown in Goonerdom as it would simply show we haven't moved on since the shenanigans of the days of TOF. It would seriously add to the criticism that Edu has had so far. I wouldn't do Arteta's reputation any good either.

I hope to fuck we do get this over the line, then get in Lavia, Timber and / or Guehi and make 100% certain they get shot of xhaka, holding and vieira.

Sell Balogun and use that money or better still sell Nketiah and keep Balogun.

Good to hear from you OB. I just think Arsenal have no chance in a bidding war with Man City unless City are not serious and I would not blame them if they walked away and moved on. The sooner the better as far as I am concerned. If the Timber deal fails because we are not matching Ajax's price and Utd gets their act together after the take over then that would be a piss-take. Just Arsenal is claiming that Balogun has refused to extend his contract because he does not want to be sent out on loan again. If true it will be him that will be sold. It looks like our Striker will be from Jesus, Nketiah, and Havertzs. Does not fill me with confidence.

Honestly you should read the Declan Rice thread on KUMB. They are all rooting for him to go to City. Never knew their hatred for us tbh. Absolutely Spurs levels of delusion over there. They are fucking shite and yet they think this BacoFoil Trophy has made them relevant. Absolute nothing club.

They won the equivalent of the all inclusive school sports day trophy where medals are handed out to the 10th fastest kids in the race so that everyone gets to go home feeling good about themselves.

Words escape me too - I watched him playing in world cup for england and he was without doubt the weakest of their midfielders, and to suggest (as the price does) that he is anywhere near as good as Bellingham is, is nothing short of a disgrace. I dont like to look back and compare, but not alone with rice not be anywhere near the level of PV4 or Petit, but he would also be behind squad player Edu as well, and yet he is our biggest signing in decades ??? If the price was more reasonable we could have signed him and he could have had a solid career at AFC, but for the sort of money he is costing he would need to be a game changer, and he is nowhere near that level
