Holy f*ck.

My reign as an Arsenal supporter is seemingly drawing towards an end. Any mention of this c*nt and Arsenal, other than "Arsenal sell Bartley" seriously depresses me. This dude is a dreadful footballer

Eh? He captained us to the FA Youth Cup and hasnt even kicked a ball for us and your writing him off? He got rave reviews at Rangers albeit in a shite league, but he showed the bollocks this team could use.

He's a better player than of our CBs than Vermaelen in my opinion, which says it all, and why would you keep shite like Squallaci when Bartley could be 4th choice??

And why is he a *word censored*? Because you dont rate him? Get a fucking grip of yourself.

Bit harsh, I know its not too difficult to suceed in the Scottish Leagues but Rangers fans were raving about him. I've seen him play a bit and he's good in the air and strong, think he could be a squad player over Squillaci but doesn't solve our centre back problem.

which is enough to call him a *word censored*?

btw, i'm all for keeping bartley as long as he is only used for the carling cup.

our defence is shite and we need experience and quality, not an unproven youngster. 5th choice sounds nice to me. if he doesn't think that is enough, than send him on loan again for more experience.

Surely, the real *word censored* here is Wenger?

People make me laugh on here. We're crying out for an out and out defender - a real bruiser who takes no prisoners. I don't want a centre back to be good on the ball. I don't want him to play football in our half. I want him to defend corners and set pieces and put it in row Z when it needs to be. Let the Wenger diddymen play the football and score the goals.

Why the abuse of Bartley? I reckon he's a perfectly valid squad player. Squilacci makes him look like Beckenbauer.

Spot on Frank, Bartley is all you described, 6 ft 3 built like a brick shit house and loves a meaty challenge, wins the majority in the air and is actually fairly good on the ball aswell.

I love him because he smashed that little prick Scott Brown, Brow jumps up gets straight in his face and then shits one when he realise's Bartley aint messing lol i want to see some of that on the wankers we have to play against. Tommy V is the only defender who puts a tackle in anger in.

Agree completley, we need a defender who loves to defend, to win the first ball - so that we are not having to worry about the knock downs.

Who currently at our club is going to deal effectively with Carroll, Crouch, Vidic, the Bolton thugs, the Stoke throw in and every other ariel challenge that will come our way next season cause it sure as hell aint going to be Djourou, Sqilliaci or Koscienly which leaves Tommy V having to mark about 4 people.

I don't know if Barltey is the answer, but with his height and strength he is halfway to being a solution in some matches

Anyone slagging Bartley should just fuck off. What has he done to deserve that? He hasn't even played a minute for our first team!

Well said. I watched Bartley a couple of times also for Rangers, just because of him, and thought he impressed. The Scottish League is very physical, and he excelled, and isn't that exactly the sort of player we need. Someone with some bollocks?

Maybe not as a first team player immediately, but can you imagine the lift he will give to the training sessions. No coincidence that with Martin Keown at the Club helping with the training the probably worst Back 4 we had under Wenger up to that point got to the Champions League Final with an almost 100% perfect record?

We need someone to wake our overpaid, poncey prima-donnas up.

Come On Arsenal!
