Both have hugely outperformed Wenger.
Atletico Madrid are so close to bankruptcy that their CEO Miguel Angel Gil has personally put his house up as collateral to secure the loans needed to pay their bills on time. In fact, Atletico have had to sell Sergio Aguero, Diego Costa, Filipe Luis, just to make ends meet. Their team cost less than Ozil. Go check.
I want to quote what the Atletico fan group president said about Simeone:
"The squad was bought on the cheap. Someone's attitude has been to say: this is what I've got, let's get on with it"
Now compare this with hilarious tards moaning that poor ol Arsene "only" had a wage bill of £143m and over £55m cash in the bank, and managed to sign the likes of Arshavin, Koscielny, the mad trolley dash, etc etc. Yet he still managed to routinely lose cup finals to relegated teams, and fail to compete with much poorer teams!
Then you look at Simeone who has managed 3 consecutive wins against Real Madrid, even though his squad cost less than Bale FFS.
It's all about the attitudes for me: Simeonr is a fighter, someone who relishes the fight and thrives in adversity. The more up against it he is, the better he'll perform.
Then you have out very own Joker. He doesn't like having to fight for things and isn't a fighter (as witnessed by his cowardly hiding in dugout at Stoke). Every defeat is an opportunity to wheel out excuses and he mentally prepares his troops to excuse failure. "It's oil money", "FFP", "we cannot compete".
Simeone tells his players they WILL compete.
Wenger tells them they've no chance already, so just go for 4th
If George Graham had had that same mentality then Parma woulda stuffed us 7-0 in Copenhagen and Scousers would have twatted us at Anfield in 89'. I especially want Wenger to GTFO as the mentality he's instilled at Arsenal is unacceptable.
