THE WENGER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Every manager has wasted money for fuck sake........but hey, you're clearly not interested in a reasoned argument.

However about comparing the net spend of the top managers over the last 15 years.
Oh, I guess that's not relevant is it, as you just want to cling onto fact our wage bill is larger than most.

I'm going to do it the hard way.....even though I have tens of millions of pounds available to spend on world class players, I'm going to gamble on sticking by the likes of Bendtner, Denilson, Santos, Senderos and Vela......:

djourou and senderos were signed in 2003 along with JA Reyes - who was 11million quid, replacing jeffers who was what 9/10 million ????

can't you see how the money was wasted ? :banghead:
Name me a manager who has not wasted money......or is it only Wenger who has wasted money.
So now it's gone from "he never had the money" to "name me a manager that hasn't wasted money"

LOL this is too easy! :barscarf:

Oh and yes there are managers who've wasted as much money as Le Joke has. Difference is, all those managers are on the dole!
So Arsene me et had the funds...but errrr...oh all managers waste money but then again...he's "achieving miracles" but eeeeerrr....oh look Chelski got knocked out the FA Cup HAH! Oh errrr I forgot we cannot compare ourselves to Chelski but errrr....ooooops we have a higher wage bill than them! BLAST!

Laughing Loon wants to do the bet spend bullshit argument?
Easy: Jurgen Klopp, Diego Simeone, Antonio Conte, Unai Emery. All managers on half Wenger's salary, managers who have ALL outperformed him. Massively. Did I mention Roberto Martinez who has a superior record of trophies in ratio?
This shit is too easy so I'll stop talking with tards...

Both have hugely outperformed Wenger.
Atletico Madrid are so close to bankruptcy that their CEO Miguel Angel Gil has personally put his house up as collateral to secure the loans needed to pay their bills on time. In fact, Atletico have had to sell Sergio Aguero, Diego Costa, Filipe Luis, just to make ends meet. Their team cost less than Ozil. Go check.
I want to quote what the Atletico fan group president said about Simeone:
"The squad was bought on the cheap. Someone's attitude has been to say: this is what I've got, let's get on with it"

Now compare this with hilarious tards moaning that poor ol Arsene "only" had a wage bill of £143m and over £55m cash in the bank, and managed to sign the likes of Arshavin, Koscielny, the mad trolley dash, etc etc. Yet he still managed to routinely lose cup finals to relegated teams, and fail to compete with much poorer teams!

Then you look at Simeone who has managed 3 consecutive wins against Real Madrid, even though his squad cost less than Bale FFS.
It's all about the attitudes for me: Simeonr is a fighter, someone who relishes the fight and thrives in adversity. The more up against it he is, the better he'll perform.

Then you have out very own Joker. He doesn't like having to fight for things and isn't a fighter (as witnessed by his cowardly hiding in dugout at Stoke). Every defeat is an opportunity to wheel out excuses and he mentally prepares his troops to excuse failure. "It's oil money", "FFP", "we cannot compete".

Simeone tells his players they WILL compete.
Wenger tells them they've no chance already, so just go for 4th

If George Graham had had that same mentality then Parma woulda stuffed us 7-0 in Copenhagen and Scousers would have twatted us at Anfield in 89'. I especially want Wenger to GTFO as the mentality he's instilled at Arsenal is unacceptable.
All valid points my friend, but I think your argument falls down on the point that Simeone has never had to deal with "special circumstances" and financially doped clubs like the mighty Southampton (yes they of the nearly bankrupt variety only 4 years ago)

Simeone - pah, as P Diddy Hill Wood would have said "we don't want his sort"

How many laps of appreciation has he led Atletico on eh ?

Putting forward the "financial constraints" argument in every post and telling people they can't raise the hundreds of millions that he has wasted in transfers and wages in the mean time in riposte. Have you ever considered applying for a job at the club's PR team? :barscarf:

No doubt you'll still be trotting out the same shite in 3 years time as our players talk about how we're in a great position in 5th place and a mere 12 points off the leaders.

In a final where he beat Citeh :rubchin:

Seriously lads if you want to have a go at baba then fair enough, but to slate Martinez for getting wigan relegated is absurd  Yes he is having a woeful season with everton at the mo but our c.unt in charge has had abundantly more resources than Martinez has had his disposal - some people complain about other fans using every little grievance to have a pop at le cock and they may have a point, but to use Martinez's career as a way to defend or deflect wenkers performance is ridiculous.
