I am pro Wenger so the graph from the link above just confirms to me that we have the right manager in place
but what about all the outers on here Impressive? or a load of bollox?

The "the net £’s spent per point won" virtual trophy is ours

I see City are bottom of that table, I bet their fans are gutted

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
With respect, Herbert, how many 'points per million' did we accrue after getting fucked harder than Mr Finsbury Park Gooner’s bird on holiday for the 8-2 at Old Trafford?herbert wrote:Miracle man?

How many for the 6-0 at Stamford Bridge, the 6-3 at Eastlands, etc.?
The man is tactically bankrupt. Tactics won’t show on a P&L; and the fact he makes money won’t wash as a defence I’m afraid, not any longer.

We have a very large selection of varying virtual trophies indeed. All acquired without the help of Wenger's virtual XI too.rodders999 wrote:herbert wrote:Miracle man?

the results you mentioned were hard to take but surely the summer signings and the fees for Ozil and Sanchez show that he has started to spend more and with the CB coming in the squad looks better than it has done for some years

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
My problem lies with Mr Wenger, in that I’m not sure it matters anymore which players he buys, because the mentality of the club seems as content to achieve 4th with Sanchez & Özil as it was with Denilson and Almunia.herbert wrote:the results you mentioned were hard to take but surely the summer signings and the fees for Ozil and Sanchez show that he has started to spend more and with the CB coming in the squad looks better than it has done for some years
Furthermore I just don't see us ever challenging again for the league title, and certainly not for the European Cup, with the current manager in situ.
I would love to be proved wrong, but not at the cost of another lost decade. Wenger has never been the most tactically flexible manager around and I feel the game is leaving him further behind with each passing season.

our resources are much much larger than liverpools - we've had 16,000 higher attendence a game for nine seasons for a start.LDB wrote:

I see the Idiot says our transfer business is "done".... right so for two hardened DM's and one CB we got one 17 yr old and a CB from a 2nd rate spanish side who doesn't speak a word of French, English or German.
we've really shown ambition in the transfer market again huh ?

Herbert I can only assume you have made some sort of contribution to that cretinous piece of writing that you posted the link to, otherwise I'm at a loss as to why you would want to associate yourself with it.

Nothing to do with me I struggle to write a sentence on here but I dont mind being associated with it because it has helped my team in the long run and if harry or fatsam ,koeman or simeone had them stats there woul;d be plenty on here associating themselves with itnorthbank123 wrote:Herbert I can only assume you have made some sort of contribution to that cretinous piece of writing that you posted the link to, otherwise I'm at a loss as to why you would want to associate yourself with it.

Nobody here really gives two shits for meaningless stats. I want to see Arsenal win, or at least compete, not ***** myself into oblivion over our sustainable finances.
Re: THE WENGER THREAD
At least we can agree on wanting 2 things, the winning and the competing the finances are a different matter but I dont get overly excited over sustainability but spending £35 plus million on a top player every season gives me a slight twingeofficepest wrote:No there wouldn't.herbert wrote:Nothing to do with me I struggle to write a sentence on here but I dont mind being associated with it because it has helped my team in the long run and if harry or fatsam ,koeman or simeone had them stats there woul;d be plenty on here associating themselves with itnorthbank123 wrote:Herbert I can only assume you have made some sort of contribution to that cretinous piece of writing that you posted the link to, otherwise I'm at a loss as to why you would want to associate yourself with it.we can agree to disagree

"what he has achieved with no money is amazing...."
erm column - bought "295 million" . 295 million is not by any stretch 'no money'
and the sales proceeds came from selling our best players to our competition to win titles - cole, adebayor, clichy, nasri, RVP.
net spend as a measure of success is utter bollocks.
its total spend that counts. here's a better, more realistic table.
United - Spent GBP 410million - Titles won - 6, cost per title = 68.33million
Arsenal - Spent GBP 295million - Titles won -1, cost per title = 295million
so wenger spent over four times the amount that ferguson did per title (4.33x times)
that makes him only 25% as effective as ferguson.

not very good that is it ?

We've had 18 consecutive champs league money which has also put us above the victims financially too
