As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

funny that huh ? - fergie leaves and not only does his team fall apart, their disciplinary record goes from one of the best to the worst.
that together with the 18 month wait a losing ref would have before reffing united again under rednose, makes you wonder sometimes doesn't it ?
and lets not forget where and how the '49 ended, eh ?
Shrek the granny shagger wig wearing keeunt dived - Riley (aka; Rednose's gimp) couldn't wait to give a pen - even back then cesc showed his class by chucking pizza at the alco rednose *word censored*....it was a stitch up from kick off......
Fucking Hell 10 years on and that game still hurts.. more than the Ch League Final of 06 in ways... Cheated by the three Rs ..Rooney, Riley and Rio..I remember my brother texting me at half time saying Arsenal were doing well, I replied that Riley will give a pen to them first chance he gets...
I'm still as angry as fuck about this totally corrupt stitch up
Strangely, Mike ( the Manc) Riley was a last minute replacement for the previously appointed ref (Dowd). Of course, I wouldn't suggest for one moment that sir alex pulled any strings to get a ref who would allow the mancs to kick us up in the air and get every single decision. I wouldn't dream of it.
Definitely have more bitter feelings about the 2005 Old Trafford game than the Champions League final. If we could have won one I'd much rather it have been the CL final obviously but 2005 was the biggest sporting travesty I have ever seen, compounded by the fact that it not acknowledged anywhere and is in fact glorified. I will hold deep resentment about that game until the day I die.

But true.
Thay are THAT bad, they will lose many more games to relegation fodder and top 6 teams this season. There are too many managers that can out think VanButthead in the PL. Wenger just isn't one of them. Player for player we are better than Manure and we should have destroyed them on Saturday. Our problem is tactics, defensive naiivity, and weak spineless players - directed by a past-it manager. We have a mental block with Manure, have had since the 8-2, but we will beat enough of the shit teams with our tippy tappy to get that be-all 4th place slot. Again.
Mark my words. We'll finish 4th. Manure will slot in 5th or 6th. Job done for Arsene. The Board happy. Arsene should step easily up to £9million a year for next year I'd imagine.
Groundhog season, every season. Yay!!
So who is going to finish 3rd then Al ? I tend to agree with our manc visitor when he says that we will finish 3rd and they will finish 4th

Sorry, augie - I meant we will get 4th minimum. I'd agree there is every chance we will get 3rd. But it could go to Manure or Everton or the Mouser possibly.
I suppose I kinda now look upon 3rd and 4th as interchangeable. They are a CL place, a measure of our ambition. Either/or will do the Board and secure Arsene's stranglehold (oops - sorry! his tenure ) at Arsenal.
TBH the difference between 3rd and 4th is negligible to me. There's 1st and 2nd, the winners and the runners up (if within a certain points tally of the winners), everyone else is a loser.
and 6 behind southampton, and four behind Fat Sam, but whats your point Dan ?
Wenger leaving will make no difference. We cannot be expected to compete with such megabucks clubs.
Ungrateful bunch of peasants, through to the last 16 of that cup we can't win and Seventh in the league. Piss off down the Lane if you can't be happy with that

It ain't over yet. This is a very very shit Manure side with a lunatic manager. They will finish 5th max.
Not sure about this DB, if we lose tonight we will be 5 points behind utd, which with a visit to old Trafford to come, is as good as an 8 point gap.
This isn’t spurs we are talking about it’s utd, whilst they might drop points. I don't think we are capable of making those points up and if they are the top 4 in January, they will strengthen to ensure they stay there.
There will still likely be one spot to play for as I don’t expect Soton to hold on to a top 4 spot, but I wouldn’t rule it out.
Don't get me wrong though, I don't give a fuck if they finish above us, or about 4th place, so why am I posting on this thread? I have no fucking idea
