THE WENGER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

All the evidence you need of what a farce this twat has turned us into can be seen in that shambles of Saturday: Arsene Wenker went to Shite Lane and approached the fixture with the exact same mindset at Citeh away, Bayern away or Barca away. The objective was to sit back and keep it right against SPUDS FFS. Not even Stoke did that when they went there (they won btw), and Palace didn't either. We are Arsenal, with a £200m squad, CL football for 18 years and a mammoth wage bill. And the manager set us up as if it were Canvey Island going to the Bernabeu.
Against Mason and Bentaleb.
He has made us so small-time it's untrue

sorry but you are deluded.
I appreciate that it takes a long time to get a season ticket and I did say you are the best supporters at the club.
However the fact that you keep renewing keeps Wenger in a job.

If you keep putting petrol in a car then it keeps going, putting money into Arsenal keeps Wenger in a job. Same thing

I think that as soon as le cock fcuks off it will really put the spotlight on kroenke and his ambitions for our club - as long as wenker remains, the fanbase will be divided but when he goes it will focus almost entirely on the yanks (inc gazidas) and we all know that they will face major protests if they continue to run the club as they currently are. Getting shot of the yanks would improve things much at the mo simply cos le cock wont alter his principles regardless of who runs the club, so for me the priority has to get rid of him first.

Btw, nutty winterburn is another ex goner who has his tongue wedged in wenkers arse hole - am totally fed up hearing him wax lyrical on all things wenker and when le cock fcuks off, I hope sky bring in a Gooner pundit that has no allegiance to the manager cos these current c.unts are a waste of time  :x

Bollocks. Two and a half fucking years he's sat there like a fucking mute after over a decade working under Wenger. He sits there and gesticulates uselessly just like Wenger, nodding along to all his comments like Churchill the dog.

He's completely and utterly fucking useless, we could literally not have a more useless assistant manager. He brings fucking nothing positive to the party and its about time people stopped depicting him as some kind of silent martyr. He is either te biggest AKB out there, or he is just keeping his mouth shut in order to trouser a million a year like a common whore.

And I'm not for a minute suggesting that Wenger would ever bring in an assistant who would challenge him and successfully reform us. But let's not pretend that Bouldy is some kind of legend because he fucking well ain't.
I said this a while ago, that Bould should leave, and when leaving, have a go at Wenger, saying that he had no opportunities to make decisions, and felt like Wenger undermined him, but of course he wont, because its better to have money than your principles in Bould's view.
Or he has stayed at Arsenal to gain more exprience to able to do his work properly elsewhere. Who knows.
What experience, like putting out the cones, and keeping your mouth shut. He is gaining experience to agree with whatever manager he works with next, like the way he nods in agreement at everything wenger says. Pity Bould doesnt have an ounce of the bottle that he used to have on the pitch when it comes to walking away from the club.

From Arsenal.com today;

Arsene Wenger Press Conference..

“Every year we have been under threat until the last game,” he said. “Every year we’ve managed to do it. We have a good opportunity to show that we have the strength to deal with that pressure and that we have the quality - I’m completely convinced we have the quality"

There is the manager of Arsenal FC now admitting that squeezing into the top four on the last day of every (any) season is the height of his and the club's ambition, and not just that but he regards it as an achievement.

I guess you're right about that, but I'm still putting my hope in him that someone would finally stand up against wenker. Reason for that is exactly the fact that the old Bould would've done it already. If the reports are true he's had enough and will finally make his move after the season, hopefully he gives full load onto wenker. Who the fuck knows.

And having years of experience of assistant manager job in Arsenal in his CV is still better than nothing given his past experience, even if it was just organizing cones. After all, he has to think about his own career too.

And here we go again. I think we have heard this before every season after January at latest. How the fuck is it possible that AKB's and the media forgets this shit so fast and buys all the shit spouted by wenker during pre season and early season about challenging the titles and blaah blaaaah, blaaah, blaaaah :banghead:

I can't stand the sight of that talking frog head anymore. :banghead:

Personally doesn't make a fucking iota of difference to me whether Bould is staying for the money or the CV. Point is he's doing fuck all positive and either his concerns for Arsenal rank well below his personal interests, or he actually fucking agrees with Wenger's lunacy.

And before some smug bastard says something like "anyone would do the same in his position", if that's true I sure as fuck wouldn't expect to be held out as a martyr or a legend.

You can be sure the media didn't question him on whether it was good enough to be finishing 4th, after Wenger claimed we were aiming for the title a few months ago. They help to keep Wenger in the job, by being spineless.

So we have Bould who "reportedly" wants to try and change things/coach defensively but Wenger refuses to take his advice or allow him to have more time working with the defence. (Which could provide a real difference in us being perenial losers or becoming actual competitors) Although I'm sure theres more to it and not quite black and white but so far Bould on the surface seems to have said/done nothing and continues to sit beside Wenger and collect his million? salary.

Then theres all the ex players/pundits who absolutely see our problems but never ever put the blame where it lies. They seem quite happy to slate players, referees, chairmen, fans but in some unwritten rule never call out managers and Wenger in particular especially after some our most embarrassing and all too frequent shambolic displays.

Then theres fellow Arsenal fans who also can see the problems but would rather allow Wenger to continue flatlining than take a step to try to improve with a new, fresh manager with new, fresh methods, ideas and importantly backroom staff. No these fans would rather argue and fight with other fans who dare to voice their opinion against the manager.

Theres also the owner who is happy to keep in profit and take a nice little cut every year and dont rock the boat in a "if its not broke dont fix it" kinda way.

Then theres Wenger himself, the accountant who is happy to finish fourth because in his eyes the financial outlay required to compete for first is not worth the financial reward that winning brings in compared to what finishing fourth brings.

This is what were up against. Wenger seems to be untouchable........ but I still maintain concerted fan pressure would hit his ego and force him out.
But....... it is diffcult to keep a campaign going against him when he does get results like the City game and beating the lesser teams regularly. This keeps the #fence-sitters and #flipfloppers onboard and does make it difficult to protest against him at games.

For things to change quick the horrible has to happen and I believe that it's going to happen this year. The tiny tots will finish in the top 4 and we won't, as horrible as that sounds if it does happen then surely all the AKBs will see the club needs change.
