As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
Ramsdale had a really poor end to the season, made that wonder save at Anfield, then pissed a really costly one in against West Ham that he should have comfortably saved before that cluster fuck after 10 seconds against Southampton.
He’s pre season form hasn’t been much better letting in some sloppy goals, the one against united was especially poor. He also holds onto the ball at his feet for a fucking eternity which will burn him/us badly some day soon.
Not sure what I’d do with him, stick or twist. He’s a young keeper and will make mistakes but can we afford to have him make them on our watch?
David Raya prefers Arsenal move over Bayern. Deal depends on clubs now but Arsenal expected to bid soon in order to accelerate talks. #AFC

Story for @F365 on Arsenal's interest in David Raya [David Ornstein]:
- #AFC 'exploring' deal
- Mikel Arteta 'wants #Raya to compete with Aaron Ramsdale for No. 1 spot'
- No bid made; Brentford 'aware' of interest
- 27yo 'favours' move Arsenal over Bayern
Fro what I have seen of Ray this past season he is Really Good and would definitely be Proper Competition for Ramsdale; seeing as Turner is nowhere near as good as Ramsdale.
Still prefer Ramsdale BUT if he does make errors then Raya will Challenge him 100% of the way.
I think Raya would challenge Ramsdale to up his game which would be a good thing for the club. I like Ramsdale but he currently has no one to challenge him. Turner has something weird about him. The US doesn't have any history of producing good footballers or Keepers so if he fucked off back there it'd be no great loss tbh.
I'm not convinced about Ramsdale tbh, but for me if we are buying Raya (which I doubt), then we are buying him as our first choice keeper - we are not backed by an oil state and cannot afford to splash 40m+ on a back up keeper, plus I think that keeping both would unsettle the squad, so can we stop this crap about signing him to compete with ramsdale
Mane the latest to piss off to Saudi to make a mere 34 million quid a year I see.
You know on reflection this might actually turn out to be a good thing - if the Saudi league becomes the new permanent Cash Mecca and all the mercenary c.unts start to choose to play out there rather than in the PL we might actually get some semblance of our game back.
Wishful thinking probably, but you know a lot of the c.unts just go where the most money is so you’d never know.

If we bought Raya it'd most likely cause a situation like we had with Emi Martinez.
I think if you were to poll the fan base asking what player are you most concerned about heading into the new season then Ramsdale would come out on top by a margin. For the keeper to be position you see as being the weakest must be a huge worry for the club because that can sink the entire team in a hurry.
He form bombed at the back end of the season and hasn’t got any better pre season. His confidence must be in the shitter but he needs to shake himself out of it and quick.
Raya would be a great signing. His stats are fantastic, pretty much in the top two for most things last season. An immediate improvement on Ramsdale, who I think is way too cocky too often. I think the clubs thinking may be to get Raya as number 1, make Ramsdale up his game and then sell him for 40-50 million (with the English 'tax'). Ramsdale will be a top keeper but it may take 3 or 4 years, too long to wait for Arsenal these days.
BREAKING: Sheffield United and Arsenal have agreed a £5m deal for Auston Trusty. Personal terms are still to be agreed but shouldn’t be a problem. Reports, @DarrenSmithTWIF.

I really don’t understand this hate on the Saudi league for bringing in mediocre foreign players on huge wages. It is precisely what the Premier League has been doing for 30 years.
