As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

It might be hard to do, but would it be possible to organize a survey with the various meeja outlets at the turnstiles for the citeeh game ? I am fed up listening to them talk shite about the Arsenal support split in half over wenker, and I would like them (with a witness from the various supporter groups) to ask the fans before they enter the stadium ..........."Are you in favour of wenger signing a new deal ?"
I think that these journo's need to have the message spelt out to them, that although many supporters wont protest, they too feel that he should go at the seasons end - to my mind I wouldn't ask them if they support the idea of banners, protests etc because it is irrelevant, but I think that the following days newspaper headlines showing somewhere north of 80% of Gooner fans are against a new contract, will send a message to the club that no banner can
Might not be feasible, but I just thought that it might reinforce our position
That's a good idea.
Also not sure how feasible, but to get even a half-way accurate number would strengthen our hand, and weaken Wenger's.
I've been thinking about the pro Wenger plane and come to the conclusion that it couldn't have had anything to do with the Club. They would have wanted a state of the art aircraft, but Wenger would have low-balled the hire company to such an extent, that they would have ended up with something that the Wright brothers invented....you know, one of those planes with about 8 sets of wings.
Wenger would have mockingly apologised to Sir Chips, saying he was sorry the plane did not cost £750.
i think ultimately the protests have to move into the stadium as this is where you will get the most TV coverage.
on Saturday yes both planes were shown but it was the banners at the end of the game which received the most attention.
crazy as it sounds the club know though that there is still a pro Wenger/ apathetic bunch of idiots majority that attend the Emirates
Unconditional support? Jesus Christ, the club must love that.
The galling thing is they are not even saying he should be given a new contract.
All the AKBs seem to have left is asking for respect.
Jesus Christ. The "Gooners20"? What a shower of fucking morons. What a pack of melts. They are not Arsenal fans. They are Arsene fans. Hong Kong? It reads like something from North Korea;
"Biased media outlets make up stories and stir up our fan base. A small group of irrational and disrespectful people who claim to be Arsenal supporters have recently been causing embarrassment and harm to our club, the manager and fans around the world. The actions and abuses from the small group of disrespectful radicals are intolerable as what they have been doing clearly do not represent the majority of Gooners. To defend our club, the manager and fans who truly love the club, we decided to answer to the abusive manners. The banner was our answer. We planned and implemented the whole action from scratch to finish within two days. This is how easily and quickly a decision can be made when it comes to defending the club that we support, the man that we respect and the cannon that we love."

If he does, that is it for me. I've done banners at the ground for a couple of years so I have done all I could...
Me too Nick. If the unthinkable happens its over for me.
I've been protesting against him since 2012. (And by that I dont mean sitting behind a keyboard moaning and pontificating or waffling about "boycotting" games I wasnt going to anyway)
Often alone, travelling to games only to protest, having to listen to AKB's abuse, then supposed WOB's pour cold water on and belittle what we were doing. What fuckin annoying "supporters" we have sometomes.

It is a complete and utter bullshit story. I'm telling you guys the clubs fingerprints are all over this and they are thinking Oh Shit here's trouble....so they have released this bullshit statement.
Just you wait we are gonna rub the clubs noses in a shitstorm of bad press. Nobody deserves it more...just you wait. I wish we had 300 k to spend..we would be bombarding them on a daily basis.

Absolutely - this crap about the match and team being untouchable, always seemed a bit lame to me Why are these players beyond abuse ? With the exception of sanchez, that squad couldn't muster a pair of balls between them Can we honestly say that any protest during a game would make a difference to the performances or results ? We are putting up some of the lamest, gutless performances in the history of our club, and the fact that we have lost 5 out of last 6 games, suggests that results cant get much worse
Seriously the fans need to organize either a late entrance or early departure - I know people come back with the old line about so many late entrants and early departures means that nobody would notice the difference, but I am talking about a large organized protest. Anyway I would only go this route AFTER he signs a contract, as a kind of "this shite is so bad that missing 10-15 minutes don't matter to me" kind of protest

I agree with moving the protests inside the stadium, but we MUST maintain the higher ground of non abusive/non violent action, because I am sure we will be provoked.
If we are denied the option of taking banners in,we should demand answers from the club as to why "some banners are more equal than others",and ask for their position,in writing,on free speech and peaceful protest.
As for the majority of people in the stadium, most don't want to get involved,(some until the see which way the wind is blowing),and many of the rest are literally tourists, ticking off their visit on their "to do" list.

The problem is not getting the banners in but getting the people with banners together. I have asked before if anyone wants to do this and generally there are not enough people on this forum interested.

All hail the Glorious Leader!
Fuck off cúnts. Fuck off out of our club.
