Anyone else getting a little bit tired of mid ranking dross sides like Villa and Newcastle thinking they are in a rivalry with us. Yeah one of our cricket team is a newcastle fan, we have a WhatsApp group (called cunnts are us), he never chats about football until now, trying to goad me into some sort of rivalry banter, I point out how insignificant they are and it's a tin pot cup that we have only ever won twice so it's no drama to me.

Luckily we have no pool fans but we do have an Everton one who is from up that way and goes to games still, he hates newcastle because of their fans (he likes The Arsenal though), this was his WhatsApp post after I posted about who could you support in the final because they're both cunnt teams,

To get to the position to bottle something is Villa's dream ffs. Newcastle on the other hand are most famous for their 1996 bottle job act and KK meltdown followed by a series of lost cup finals including against us. Both teams can take solace from the fact that their fanbases consist of some of the biggest c.unts known to man

That Keegan side wrote the book on bottling. How many points clear were they? As soon as Fergie started the mind games they wilted like a daisy in a furnace. Several cup final losses in a row. Styles make football and we have issues with teams playing with a low block thanks to our limited attack and heavy reliance on 1v1 defending when the ball gets played over the top. Liverpool will have no such issues in the final though as they have a more varied attack and I expect them to sweep aside Geordie with relative ease.

Agreed. The last two league games for the Geordies have brought zero points at home. The pacy and direct Bournemouth and Fulham exposed that plodding backline of Burn and chums for what they really are. We thought that plodding Havertz and a side to side passing borefest was the answer however

Difficult to get that one past the sniff test. You look across the line as the free kick is taken and your eye is drawn to 4 red jerseys offside and you somehow don’t give it.

Linesmen now don't give a fuck and are there just to point a flag for throws, which they still manage to get wrong most of the time. This one is either cheating or complete incompetence- no middle ground at all there. You wouldn't see that in a Sunday morning park match, it is that bad. Almost as if it could be used in the most basic 'do you know the laws of the game quiz.' If that isn't fixing then that linesman needs to be prevented from doing a professional game again. It's that bad.
Officials on a free hit here as there's no VAR and so can fix as much as they want to keep the syndicates, who needed a winner in normal time, happy.
