Not a film, but I borrowed Band Of Brothers (7 DVD Box Set) - I missed it when it was shown on tv.....

f****************ck ! it is BrillianT!...Sad, funny - stomach churning (literally)...But the best anti-war film/series - just like Saving Private Ryan is...

Just watched "Sin Nombre" tonight - I kept seeing ads for it on the tube on recent trips to The Grove & have been meaning to check it out for a while. Excellent film, well worth a watch. Think Crash meets City of God meets Slumdog Millionaire, all set in Mexico. It's subtitled but don't let that put you off. Interesting inter-woven storylines with some stunning cinematography & great acting.

Saw District 9 the other night & like others have said, it was very good. Thought it dragged a little towards the end but it's definitely one of the most unique & different films for a while. Need to catch Inglourious Basterds at some point in the next few days.

I like the sound of that!! and set in Mexico like Amores Perros 8) .... I'll have to watch that I think! 8) :lol:

By the way.... it now has a lot to live up to! :wink: :lol:

I am not normally a big film fan , what i mean is i will catch it on tv whenever it comes on ! But after reading through all the threads i decided to downlo sorry rent fifty dead men walking all i can say is what a fucking cracking film, all the more as its based on a true story. So from now on i dont want to wait incase i miss it or it never comes on . Btw my own choice of films is they must be true or at least believable . cheers lads ( and lasses ?)

have this on dvd will wtahc during the week if its half as good as the orginal bbc 6 part series should be excellent
