I reckon a statue of Sammy dropping his shorts right in front of the away turnstile would go down well as well.......greatgooner wrote:TrueSammyDroppedHisShorts wrote:why not both?greatgooner wrote:As much as i love Rocky i feel that Geordie Armstrong would be more deserving of a statue.GoonerJim wrote:Instead of having Rocastle on a mural does anyone else think there should be a statue dedicated to him somewhere outside the stadium?

Apparently he was captian, it seems captains are going to be a theme on these posters, adams henry etc. even hapgood!arsenal.com wrote:The Bergkamp comparisons are understandable. James played as an inside forward, providing the ammunition for the likes of Cliff Bastin, Ted Drake and David Jack to fill their boots. The Scot's impeccable passing made him the perfect supply line for Herbert Chapman's prolific Arsenal sides.
James was not known for his goalscoring, plundering only 27 in 261 appearances for the Club, but he was on target at Wembley. The Scot's strike set up a 2-0 victory over Huddersfield Town as Arsenal clinched their first major silverware.

I think they should at least leave space for Cesc, yes he might leave quite soon but if we win something this season he deserves a place. (he has the potential to be Arsenal's record appearance holder but modern football/money will prevent this from happeningxDAVEYx wrote:they should put arshavin up purely because he is tiny

He was what these days is called deep lying midfield. He was the supplier to the strikers and apparently laid on a great number of goals for the forwards. in those days no 10 indicated inside left (midfielder).arshavin23 wrote:Alex James
