Great to get a clean sheet after that game especially after having to hear Mark Bright waffling about how Bolton would score.

God I hope Bolton go down!

What? We put in a fully committed performance, kept concentration throughout, and played some lovely free-flowing football - resulting in one fantastic goal.

I thought it was a very good performance that fully merited the scoreline.

in terms of attacking i mean, granted we got 2 goals but we struggled at times, our forwards were quite absent from the game but was a committed performance and we grinded out the victory. We were put under a lot of pressure by Bolton who were up for the fight today with their new manager

one of his better games this season, but thats not saying much
Argeed, but his performance today was average really (except from one good save), it's Bolton that missed their chances, not that Almunia was excellent to be honest.

Great results and a good 3 points :barscarf: :barscarf:

YESSSS!!!!

First step to the top of the table passed. We needed a win and despite being very average, job is done.
Glad Wenger reacted quickly for Eastmond as I thought he was shocking. He looked totally lost on the field, and certainly not up for the physical challenge.
I then hoped that he would take of traore as the poor kid was just no where to be found. But taking out rosicky? quite surprising... Anyway... It worked. We scraped a win. Clean sheet. Satisfying.

After three games of magic, diaby was today showing his dark side again. Needs to stay focus!
Almunia had one of his best games according to his low standards...
Cesc is, this season, has taken another step into becoming one of the very fiew best midfielders in the world! He is trully world class and you could see that even the thuggish bolton ''players'', when they saw they couldn't bully our little spaniard, didn't dare approach him later on. He's definitly the heart of this team.

On the negative side, I've spent the whole game wishing we had some tall striker up front, because AA will never get any of almunias already poor distribution. We desperatly need to buy a striker that can hold some balls up front. i've read some rumours saying that arsene has to buy now that bendtner injury is lasting. Please let this be true!

We played very well today. Made to work very hard by a pumped up Bolton, who to be fair looked quite dangerous. Klasnic and as ever Davies were a handful (not to mention the Korean bloke who give Traore the run around). I'm just thankful all their best chances fell to Taylor!

Fabregas was a different class today, they couldn't live with him so resorted to the usual Bolton tactics of trying to kick our best players off the park. Merida come on and done a good job, and although it's far from ideal having Arshavin and Eduardo upfront they both run their socks off and played well today.

Another 3 points on Wednesday, early elimination for Cameroon and we are well placed for the run of crucial games at the end on Januuary.

Come on the Arsenal! :barscarf:

The substitution of Eastmond by Merida made all the difference from being on the back foot we started putting them under pressure. Will be sad to see Merida leave and we keep Denilson. With Song back as DM Merida could be good cover for Cesc

Cesc once again a different class to any other player on the pitch

Thank god Clichy is fit because Traore had a mare for the 2nd week running
We had some luck that Taylor is such a poor finisher

Good win, pretty solid without being at our best, nice to keep a cleansheet. Almunia was solid as was most of the back four though Galllas had his moments. I like Traore but now hoping that Clichy will soon be ready to start. Thought Eastmond did fairly well, Diaby did ok, Cesc was awesome in bursts, Rosicky caused trouble when he got on the ball and Eduardo had two assists while his movement caused Bolton some problems. Little suprised Wenger made an attacking sub at 1-0 but it won the game so well done Wenger and well done Merdia

Get a win against Bolton, avoid injuries against Stoke and then we need to perform better

i felt it was a good win against a team who were up to impress there new manager,

traore doesnt do it at left back and almunia is a major disaster waiting to happen but at least he didn't concede which is always nice.

comfortable enough win

Fantastic result although I'm not sure how we won with Diaby and Eastmond in midfield having absolute shockers. Eastmond you can kind of forgive but Diaby just showed why so many people have doubts about him. After a couple of very good games, he wasn't just bad today he was totally shit, anonymous and when he got the ball gave it away almost every time. Eastmond was so out of his depth, to be honest he's been poor every time I've seen him but what do i know :). Traore was very poor again at left back, great to have Clichy back. The positives....Fab was fab again, we're a totally different side with him playing. Central defenders solid, Almunia was ok but his distribution was really poor...why did he keep on hoofing it up the pitch straight to their CB's? We lost possession pretty much every goal kick we had.
So overall, I think it's an excellent win considering, they had several decent chances, we'll have to be very careful on Weds.
Why do so many of our players keep picking up 'niggling' injuries?
