As far as I can see it, no matter who we draw it's a good result. If we get Barca or Madrid, we'll go out in the first round, freeing us up for the Prem League. If we get Shalke we have a good chance of advancing, if we get Bayern, who knows.

With all due respect augie, sometimes i do wonder if you like to sensationalise matters for the sake of it. Surely it can't be good for your health getting angry for no reason because firstly, if you have any concept of formations and tactics and paid attention not just to our players, but the Partizan players, you could see how they were set up, and how they were working together solidly to stop us getting through them. Even though that was their main aim, to defend at all costs, we managed to score 3 goals.
Also to call them "lazy arrogant *word censored*" just who exactly was a lazy arrogant *word censored*? Sagna and Eboue were getting forward at every opportunity, Nasri was trying his best to beat players and get into their box, V. Persie was dropping deep to pick up the ball and create something, Arshavin was trying to beat players and set the strikers in, Song and Denilson did well sitting back whilst the others went forward and controlled the ball well in the middle of the park. So yeah, very confused as to how you can call the players lazy arrogant *word censored*

True.

Probably our worst group campaign for as long as I can remember. The only saving grace is that we're top of the league, which is nothing to be sniffed at. Hope we just get better and better now, the season looks very promising on paper at the moment if not visually.

We were poor for most of it but job done. We are through, thank Christ.

No point in singling anyone out when all of them were either mediocre or poor.

But we really do need to add some true quality to that squad.

For me it matters not how good or bad we played

we scored 18 yes EIGHTEEN goals in the competition

We have a tough draw to follow but put it this way those four clubs will want to avoid us from the teams they can face.
Despite what happened last season the Camp Nou, Barcelona know we are the hardest team they can draw....so lets get the draw we want and move on.....

We are not the worst team in the 16...seeded fifth best....and we will only see the usual set up.....Barce win it

I cant agree at all with the notion you think we are the worst team....Liverpool didnt score 18 goals in the group stage when they won it.....and we would NEVER get the luck they got that year
