My views on the issue are obvious, I'm a liberal lefty and proud of it. As an Arsenal fan, I've always hated the racist language used by some, and to be honest, I'm delighted this debate has happened so that all this can be discussed, even if only amongst a small group.

Although Cus and I agree on a lot, I find it difficult to accept some of his comments. For example, why the fuck imply that a chartered engineer won't know enough to debate these issues?? I'm sorry, Cus, but sometimes your approach just undermines the arguments. My advice, chill out and treat people with a bit more respect.

I didn't bring up the question one's employment here at all - Gus misunderstood the metaphor I used when I said never wrestle with a chimney sweep as you can never come out clean.

Gus seemed to think it relevant to tell me that he was a Chartered Engineer, as if it gave his viewpoint some validity.

I more than understand the metaphor.....it was used to try and show me in some derogatory manner!

The reason I named my profession was simply to show I am a half interlligent man and not the numpty you was trying to portray me as!

It was in no way any attempt to validate my opinion. Why would I? Its bollocks anyway as you so intelligently point out!

Anyhow I am frankly bored of the whole thing now!

Well you may well be a half interlligent man with regard to chartered engineering - doesn't mean your opinions on Jewish history and race are of any validity because of it.

You wouldn't call a lawyer to build you a skyscraper and you wouldn't call an architect for legal advice.

Me too.

I've more than put my point across and the only further developments we have with it now are merely trading insults and I've got much better things to do with my time.
