Very encouraging to hear at least 3 or 4 bursts of "spend some f*cking money" and it got louder each time. Unfortunately there did not appear to be any banners (that I saw anyway). Most depressing part of the day was the chanting for Eboue when warming up and the singing of "one Arsene Wenger" when he came on for the second half. Biggest insult of the day was hearing that Captain Marvel Fabregas was tweeting from the Spanish Grand Prix. Disgrace that he was there and disgrace that he was allowed to be there. Don't care if he is injured, he should have been with his team encouraging them to secure third place. Says it all about the state of the Club under Wenger.

Just seen the highlights. That dappy bird with the "I Love Eboue" shirt.... :banghead: Dear God, just about sums up the state of some our mong fans, who seem to be just as prevalent away as they are at home.

disgrace for Cesc. In the same time, Gerrard, injured too, was sitting among away fan at Villa's game.

one cares about his Club and is a leader, the other fails on both counts. Easy to work out which is which.

Hmmm, perhaps the chant to Wenger should have been ''spend alot of money'' instead... Wenger jerks off on spending some or even no money... :? :?

And although I agree with you and it pisses me off that we're clearly going backwards, I guess there is some truth in the fact that the three teams above us are on a different financial level to any other club. Spending what we do, we do well, but the problem is there is no reason for us to be so miserly!
Disagree with that Spuddy, we've underachieved again this year even with the team we've got. How much better could this same group of players have done with….

…any kind of semi-competent defensive coaching?
…a manager with the slightest hint of tactical nous?
…a style of play that wasn't so fundamentally flawed in the first place?
…its' match-winners allowed to actually "play" instead of having virtually all spontaneity drilled out of them to fit the robotic zombie through-the-motions-football mould? A team with the creative talents of RVP, Nasri, Cesc, Arshavin, Jack etc should never be so predictable & easy to contain.
…a manager with the ability to keep them consistently motivated?
…a manager who made them work on improving the glaring individual weaknesses in their game - crossing (FB's), movement in the box (strikers) etc?
…a manager who recognised set-pieces are an important part of the game (attacking as well as defending)?

All of these issues could be addressed with the most basic management - the sort every top-level manager should be capable of as a bare minimum. Fix any 2 or 3 them & without any signings this exact same team/squad would have fared much better.

Finishing 12 points behind a good but not great United team isn't doing well. Likewise finishing behind a past-it, self-imploding Chavs & a City team that is/was still being put together & learning to gel etc. All we've done is finish ahead of an overrated scum & a shite Liverpool team.
IU4GN sums it up for me.

The manager, most of the players and board have fallen short in a season when the title was in their (our) hands.

Inept decisions, selections and performances. No lessons learnt and acted upon.
Hardly any Gooners are surprised with the outcome but more and more are bitterly disappointed again many becoming resentful towards the manager and the players.

I have certainly become resentful this season and that is overriding the preceding years feeling of disappointment. I can cope with disappointment but resentment is a corrosive emotion so for me it's time to stop gifting them more cash to squander on increasing mediocre players wages.

So basically ye are telling me that I missed another thrilling match to add to a season full of excitement ? Been travelling all day today and havent been near this place since fri night so havent been able to follow the game as it happens.

Good to see that, as expected, our travelling support showed themselves to be an excellent ambassador for Gooners everywhere today  These players and manager are largely a shower of *word censored* and are escaping virtually unscathed from the wrath of the fans. Wenger bullshits this morning saying how he understands fans anger at price increases but if we want to compete then that is what is necessary........I thought the extra income from the extra 22k seats we gained from leaving highbury was going to allow us to do that ? Of course we are competing with teams that have a bottomless pit of cash so we cannot compete.......the *word censored* wont spend what he has but yet he wants more  Please wenger just fcuk off now

People forked out £50 just for a ticket today, I think they're more than entitled to enjoy themselves by having a sing song and a drink up with there mates.
